I live near SANAIR Those 90's where the best...they ran full quarter-mile too ! i d'ont even watch nhra no more since 2008 , too much regulations and stuff. used to be you could get a team together and try with the big boys. now even with big bucks, if your not plugged with the old group you'll never race. i feel lucky to have experienced nhra in those days.
It’s kinda ironic that they didn’t mention Cruz Pedregon becoming the first Funny Car into the 5.00s during first round of eliminations at the Keystone Nationals.
Amazing quality fur such old material. Thanks for the upload. Awesome stuff, love it! However I wonder what happened to the Finals footage late in the season. Did they run out of battery power of their cameras or what?
@ 15:24 the birth of the winners curse @ 44:21 name that tune @ 1:54:14 cruz pedergon is a NHRA World champion and he talked to the guy who has won a LOT of drag racing world titles Big Daddy Don Garlits
They did at the very beginning in a part that was cut out before Big Mac and Steve Evans came on to welcome you to Drag Racing 92. When they showed the previous years pro champions they said that legal issues force Darrell Aldermen out of the seat.
Oh yeah, i'm surprised they didn't mention that Bernie Fedderly jumped ship from Crew Chief of The Pedredon Funny Car over to the Force Funny Car. So when & why did he leave Larry Minor Racing?
I think it was because Lee Beard put one of his motors into Berny's prepared funny car chassis. I did remember reading it on line whilst looking into the Ace. Crew chief tensions I imagine plus a little hurt pride.
Anyone that keeps these videos alive is a fan of mine!!

Steve Evans......... The Best there ever was.

Back when drag racing was 1320 feet 1/4 mile !
@MrMcKane it was a test session at Phoenix, not the Arizona Nationals. Scott Drove it at the Winternationals that year.

Foreshadowing??? Joe's wife in the background. Not sure when, but Joe and Gene Amato would get a Divorce. 1:39:37.
I enjoyed your clip. Great post.

I think it's kind of an insult that they didn't even mention Darrell Alderman, despite the reason WHY he was gone.
They did at the very beginning in a part that was cut out before Big Mac and Steve Evans came on to welcome you to Drag Racing 92. When they showed the previous years pro champions they said that legal issues force Darrell Aldermen out of the seat.
do you have ''john force still the one'' or anybody does ?
Is there a drag racing 87? Because that's when we ran a nitro dragster
+Walker Stephens yes .i have it on vhs
@redracer1985 because he didn't go to Montreal Cory needed to set a new national et record to top Amato, but not to be.
so how exactly would have Cory won the championship if he had gone to Canada? do you get points for entering a race?
Joshua Hodgeson I believe you would get a certain amount of points for qualifying and that would have been enough
100 points

I think he left becuse he didn't like Cruz apparently

@MattDaugherty-dv3qm I would imagine as Larry would have OK such a decision being the boss but engine tuners have egos. Larry's loss Forces gain.
