Trust me Brenda, there are many immigrants who have a foreign looking name, not a 'Canadian' accent and yet came here to blend in and experience 'Canada' the way it was and not to change it. Majority in my 'brown' community want their kids to assimilate, be respectful, value the privileges we have in Canada while contributing to society in best ways. The last 3-4 years have been a dramatic change which even I cannot get my head around with. For starters, we need to stop non-serious students and accept only Masters/PhD students internationally.

I am socially liberal, but when it comes to crime, economy, assimilation (agreeing to basic Canadian values of respect, equality, justice and fair play) I am conservative because conservative politics seem to align more with my mindset. I am just 15 years in wonderful canada and I see the dilution happening so fast and it is deeply concerning. Reduce immigration at a pace were we can help people assimilate and not have to live in their individual sub-colonies.
We can have Mr. Uppal to speak on the issue of feting Khalistani separatists as mentioned in your recent article on the issue.

But who is involved? In the Nijjar murder case, mostly Indian students were involved, and they received priority visas. Now the gangs are here. The Canadian government should initiate priority deportation and a ban on immigration, particularly student visas, for at least five years. No permits. Complete your studies, go back, and serve your country. No more student-to-PR pathways. Taxpayers are being made bankrupt by this broken system. Food banks are for homeless people, not for students.

hey, I came as a student to do Masters at a top university 12 years ago. I support your stance. Rules and policies are based on circumstances. We need serious quality students and we can never get that in masses. Quality is in small numbers always. Need to quit trying to bring in under grad or diploma students.

Well, a fraudulent marriage based immigration application is a crime, but we gave Nijjar citizenship and then our whole parliament stood up for him. We have an ethical issue as a country.

I assume its Desi employers who don't pay their employees wages and overtime pay rate. This leaves employees salty.
Can we talk at length and detail about why "new Canadians" are committing so much crime that Canadians are now living in fear like nothing at all that we have experienced ever in our history.
Why Dldo they care so very little about Canadian laws or morals?
The matter of fact is that we need to be more tough on crime in general. Forget about assassinations etc it's what we do against smaller crimes that set the precedent for bigger ones. Auto thefts are off the charts and it's pretty organized.
A big chunk of those stolen vehicles are leaving Canada and you are telling me that the border services do not know about it. Let's not kid ourselves.
And no we are not going to become a police state if we start doing a bit more than the bare minimum.

What is mr uppal stance on lmia fraud. It is a big thing right now.
Also when conservatives come into power next October are they going to investigate all these companies that were involved in the lmia fraud and if caught give harsh penalties and even criminal sentences for this fraud? Also the employees who paid these employers to get lmia for getting PR, Are they going to be caught and deported as they have abused the system. A lot of international student and visitors who came to canada have taken advantage of this. I believe this lmia fraud is a multi billion dollar fraud and could easily be one of the biggest frauds in Canada.
I have talked to cbsa officers in the past about the lmia fraud. They said they know about the lmia fraud but don't have the resources to investigate this fraud. So the Trudeau government is ignoring this and is looking the other way.

Overall fruitful discussion but non of you touched the issue of mass immigration. His point of view as deputy leader of CPC would have added value to the discussion.
The topic of discussion was extortion and crime. I believe in not straying from the agreed topic. If I get to talk to him about immigration, I will definitely ask him.

Visit visa holder and International Student from India are not asked to submit their police certificates?

Kinda no. You need a Police Certificate if you are becoming a PR or Resident in Canada. If you are a visitor, Police Certificate is left to the discretion of the Consular officer. Some officers demand it, some don't.

What good is that certificate? Wont negate criminals. Terror suspects might get negated.
