hey chef, & guests. i am one of thousands you've helped . I Started at 66, with low thyroid , low metabolism , & menopause , nearly home /bed bound ,suffering with many food/drink related illnesses . Thinking some were genetic ,til i changed to wfpb mostly sofas free. Anyway it took me 3y2m to lose my 100 lbs, after yo yo dieting 55 y from age 11-66. Been maintaining 3y9m now, between 139-149, am only 5'1", 239 lbs , bmi 44 , mens 3x shirt was too tight !1 anyway , finding you changed/saved my life. i am 72 & got off meds & reversed those food /drink related illnesses , i wasn't a pop drinker , but alcohol ,which i been sober 4-5 yrs. I quit smoking Nov 1982, but they were both easier than quitting sugars . I stupidly tried plant milk ice creams !! way harder to say no to. okay ,sorry so long .take care sweetie , thinking about you so/more often & 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I recall watching Shaida making stuffed mushrooms in your old kitchen or at least think it was your kitchen before moving. Using nutritional yeast instead of cheese. Happy memory.
Took me a year to lose 35 lbs. I was still working and did not exercise. Best thing I ever did. 70 in March. And unfortunately, I did lose muscle mass.
I lost my weight with diet alone. I started exercising by riding my electric bike but that was mostly for my mental health. Chef AJ has said “You lose weight in the kitchen. You get fit in the gym.” I started exercising gently and am much more intentional with working out now. It was really hard to exercise at 260 pounds😢
Like Susanna, I lost weight with diet alone. My only exercise at the time was walking my dog…very slowly. We used to go for a sniff as that was about the pace. Exercise is wonderful but we say weight loss happens in the kitchen, not in the gym 😊 oops Susanna already said that!! Lol
@@zenaalam wow so chef AJ shrunk to her size purely through following the caloric density model? i'm told to combine healthy eating with HIIT but if it's that effective
What if you can’t afford all those vegetables? Where I live even frozen vegetables are quite expensive if you are trying to exist on minimal income, especially so since Covid doubled the price of food and so much else but income has scarcely changed.
