Hi Ruth... I filmed me making the molds but lost a hard drive before I got a dependable network storage and I believe that footage is water under the bridge. I'll put it on my list however... they're our favorite molds... fast and efficient. If I find the footage, I'll certainly put it in post production and get it up asap. Thanks for watching...
Just cut rectangle pieces and clear tape them onto the main body of template... Most of the time we don't even tape them on... theres a small amount of leakage but it makes pulling the template material off of the finished loaf easier and cleanup is a breeze.
We just mark uniform cutting lines in marker on the top of the mold. After 24 hours, we score the loaf on each line with a butter knife, then remove it from the mold and set it to cure. Once cured there are cut lined in the top of the loaf to follow.
Tiffany, I'm sorry for not responding... I try to respond to every comment I possibly can. I don't know what you mean by "slab mold". If you can explain it, maybe I can help.
Ahh yes, I have a few commercially made "slab" molds. I bought their silicone liners. You could also buy silicone sheets and cut them up as dividers but they're floppy, I use PTFE sheets and cut them as dividers, they're not so floppy but still thin as a penny and shiny for easy removal. It doesn't say how "thick" they are, they are "Wrights Extra Thick Plastic Quilt Template" you can get from any quilting store. If I were to guess I'd say about 1/64" thick... they are pretty thin but tough. Search for Heavy Duty if you can't find Extra Thick. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve been looking for this alternative ❤😊

How did you make the short ends? Your video didn’t show that part?

You said that you had a video about how to make the wooden soap mold with cutting lines, but I can't find that video. Can you please make one?

Could you show us how to make this for a slab mold?

@@kauaigirlsoap A slab mold is larger and it would contain several loaves of soap. Ophelia's soaperys channel is a good visual of what I mean.
