the tight line advantage in the wind! DHALO fly fishing

showed up to the creek with my mono rig rig and rod and it was a bit windier than expected, 15-20mph. tried to compensate with some weight using an indicator and nothing would hit. tried a heavy dry dropper and nothing. the fish were there, found some rainbows stacked up, but nothing got them to bite. finally in the last 15 min before giving up, decided to go full mono rig/euro, tight lined a rubber legs right into them, no bead, no split shot, and they went crazy.
