Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) is a project started by the Federal Government to stop flooding in the city center of #kualalumpur . The project is run by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage #malaysia and the Malaysian Highway Authority. MMC Corp Berhad and Gamuda Berhad have an agreement to work together on the project.
The highway will help with traffic. The motorway tunnel will give drivers from the Southern Gateway, which includes the KL-Seremban Highway, the Federal Highway, the Besraya, and the East-West Link, an alternative way to get into and out of the city center. This will make the Southern Gateway, which leads to the city center, less crowded with cars. The time needed to travel will be cut down by a lot. For example, it should only take four minutes to get from the Jalan Istana Interchange to Kampung Pandan, while it takes ten to fifteen minutes on the #construction that are already there.
