Paolo fromTOKYO Paolo and Maiko, you guys rock! You have the best travel to Japan videos. So much detail! The map helps so much and it's downloadable! You spell things and names out and give links and directions. So efficient! My BF also subscribed to your UA-cam channel! I am going to get my travel friends to subscribe too. You're the best! I've seen other Asakusa videos but yours is the most detailed and showed a lot more than other videos. I love you guys!
Is there a link to English website for the lunch cruise? Where do you buy the tickets? What’s the price for adults and young children? Is there a lot of waves sea sickness?
When you go to Sensoji Temple try to be there when they have the Dragon Dance festival here a video I shot of it ua-cam.com/video/tLHIjlEr-t0/v-deo.html
Dude I absolutely love your enthusiasm and I laughed out loud when you kept referring to the flame as a golden turd. I have to plan a two week trip around Tokyo and I was so overwhelmed by it, but your video made me feel so much better because you have showed me so many fun things to do just in Asakusa. The boat trip looks incredible at night.
Tomorrow i'll going to asakusa...cant wait...right now im staying in shibuya...love the culture in Japan...hope i can explore as much as i can while im staying here...😙😘
Hi Paolo. Your videos are a life saver for first timer like us planning to Tokyo in a very tight Budget & Time. So looking forward this coming November to experience it ourselves. Thank you so much!
When you go to Sensoji Temple try to be there when they have the Dragon Dance festival here a video I shot of it ua-cam.com/video/tLHIjlEr-t0/v-deo.html
The hostel I stay at in Tokyo is in Asakusa, about 4 blocks from the shrine. It's one of my favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo. The food is great, it's super walkable, and wandering around the shrine grounds at night is one of the most peaceful things you'll experience.
I am new to your channel, and I have 8 days until I fly out to Tokyo. My first real trip out of my country or anywhere really. I have been binge watching your videos like netflix. It is a lot to take in, but I am doing my best to make my experience the best I can get it. Thanks for all the pointers you give... You are truly helping me plan.
can I just say Paolo... the other day I heard your video play from within our house and it wasn't me watching...surprised that my 70 yr old aunt was watching your videos, thanks for keeping our family company :)
Paolo I love you so, so much! Thank you for showing all the streets and spots to visit your video is a great referance! I'll be going on a 13 day trip to Japan next Mach 2019 and I'm using your videos as a guide!! Thank you!
Paolo, your videos are awesome and so helpful when we need to search some Japanese topic! I would like to suggest you show how to rent a bike (the public ones) by tourist. Keep posting!
I've been to Asakusa a few times, and this was a really comprehensive list! I've done several of these the things you mentioned, but you also pointed out several I didn't know, so thanks!⛩
Paolo, your enthusiasm makes your videos so fun to watch, and makes it easy to get excited about all the cool things Asakusa has to offer! Planning our first trip to Tokyo, Japan 2 years from now, and look forward to learning so much from your videos! Arigatou Gozaimasu!
Thanks Paolo. Im here at Asakusa now, trying what you recommended! Thanks a lot for the info! Will watch ykur other videos for more tips here in Tokyo! Hopefully to see you here in Tokyo!
Hi Paolo, love the channel. I have been watching it for the past month as I’m gearing up to visit Tokyo in a few days. I saw on the Asakusa Culture Center that there will be a Geisha performance next weekend on 10th - tickets are passed out for free on same day at 10am, so first come first serve. Hope you see you and Meiko there also.
Just want to say thanks so much taking the time to list the places you gone to. Love your video well detailed. Your videos are helping me plan my trip to Tokyo. Can’t wait for the restaurant cruise video :D
Coming to Tokyo in a couple of weeks; have gotten lots of good hints from your videos! But how about breakfast? Would love a video of where to find fluffy pancakes and other interesting options in the morning! Particularly in the Ueno to Asakusa areas. Keep up the good work!
As with Paolo's other Asakusa video, I followed the Tokyo Zebra's footsteps! Well worth it!! #1 - The street food at Nakimise was plentiful and fresh to eat. There are too many things to cover, but it is great to try. As I was there over the New Year, closer to the temple there are a lot of food shops that pop up for the festivities and is an extension of the Nakimise strip. #2 Sensoji - is a pretty cool temple. Worth the exploration of the grounds around it. #3 Side Streets - I agree with Paolo, the shutter art on the businesses when closed is pretty cool. Worth and early morning or after hours look. #5 Sumida Park - I bet in the summer it is cool, or in spring with Cherry Blossoms, winter it can be a bit chilly with wind off the water. #6 Monja Lunch - it was cool. Menu in Japanese, but pictures show you how to do the lunch. The two ladies who worked there were awesome, and helped me out as it was my first time. They were really cool. I ordered the Mantaiko Special and was not disappointed. #7 Asahi Beer - When you go up, you have to order a beer to get the view. No line like SkyTree, but it is pretty cool. View is great. First time I ever had an Asahi Super Dry and was very impressed. I enjoyed the directions that and places Paolo suggested. I think you should follow the same route too!! Thanks!!
This is a great recommendation/introduction list ! We did/visited about 70% of things in the video (it’s a Tuesday so not everything was opened), all of them are exceeded the expectations. We even went back to the karaage shop for a second round! Thanks Paolo !!!
I loooove asakusa, I could just keep going there forever! I think my favourite thing is that at night it's quiet but there's still so much to see (and do! Jazz bars! Donki!) . But I never knew one could go to the Asahi building?! Also, good to see the golden poop has been unveiled again .D my sister was very sad last autumn when they were... um... polishing it? .DDD
i was there for new years (2018) it was very nice. I was heartbroken when i came home from tokyo and you posted things to do in akihabara and other places we visited and had no idea the places you listed were even there.
Watching this while sitting on the curb in front of the jr expressway bus drinking a random tasteless carbonated Canada Dry the I just happen to try out from the vending machine. Tokyo is great!
Just went to Daikichi Monja tonight with my wife. Wonderful place, quiet and very local friendly. Keep looking at places you recommended and I'm sharing your UA-cam links in my facebook if you don't mind.
Thank's for this video. Missed Asakusa when I was in Japan last year. Hoping to go back next April, definitely be spending a couple of days exploring there. BTW, pretty sure it's pronounced "ah-suck-sah.

I ate one strawberry daifuku in the alleyway! I loved it!
My favorite place in Tokyo! Was just here last week to see the sakura :) Our hotel was 3 minute walk from the temple so we spent every day around the temple and nakamise dori. We would get up really early in the morning at like 4am and walk around the temple grounds, it was perfect :)
Paolo! I saw you at Asakusa yesterday! But I was too shy to approach you 😊 Been watching your videos before my Tokyo trip and I can’t believe I saw you.
3 seconds in and i already liked it cause i know it would be spectacular like your other videos ✨ I've still got a long way to go before being able to travel to japan but i love the adrenaline rush your videos are making me feel! makes me even more dedicated than ever. thank you for this, kuya.
Paolo; your videos are so informative on the best places for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Tokyo. I love them and your positive energy. Congrats on getting married to a girl who clearly loves you. I hope that you might consider the idea of doing a video on the top ten things to do in Harajuku.

Hello Paolo. Im now in Tokyo. I just visited Asakusa. 😄
