Karen's monologue about what Frank has been suffering is some of the best writing I've ever heard on these shows. Mesmerizing and heart wrenching. Her compassion towards him and his protectiveness of her are a big reason why I ship the two of them. Matt just became annoying as hell in the 2nd season. Thankfully, he's become more reasonable in the Defenders.
