when i was installing my radio my antenna hit the circut board and fried it i had no heat, threw another control panel in and good as new,the relay is just to help with running multiple amps, thanx for watching my vids man im glad you like them
my man i am so happy for you.. i am trying so hard to get a new flip up..yours seems way tight. i like how you sed it makes your mids and highs clearer..because i allways thought they didint sound as clear with my dual. goo vid 5 *
Alpine headunits and pioneer headunits both have very high sound quality so the only real differences your looking at (besides the obvious inclusion of a touchscreen on the pioneer) would be the number of preouts, the preout voltage, and the settings which tend to be similar if not identical. I have a pioneer headunit and my friend has an alpine and the only real difference is the interface.
i think also it might be adding the relay to the remote wire made a big difference...now that its getting that 12 volts out to the amp....so far i havent had and problems with the unit but i do plan on getting a newer model in the near future
i guess some people have nothing better to do,but as of right now yes its powering the mids and highs..soon it will be just for the highs and ill have a amp for all of the mids
if u didnt knew it, the yellow 20 or 26 pin plug is for a video (touch) screen a cable goes to a "hide away unit" en then to the (touch) screen for example a pioneer avd w6210
Hey brother, google the model # of the deck and you should find it in PDF format. Down load it and print it, or take a lappy out there and get aquainted with it's features. I'll send it to you if you PM me your E-mail. I need the model # though. I never dissed the Dual, but that Pioneer is a MAJOR upgrade. Your seeing the effects of a clean accurate output to your amps. That's why I rock Alpine, cause their decks sound really good. 5*s for making your setup even that much better!
maybe it is in other setups, but in mine the relay was used as a 12v signal wire instead of a 3 v......and the wire for the screen was wired directly to the emergency brake
the ground for the video feed?i connected it to the e-brake wire...but what i did was put down the pedal 1 click and pulled out the brake light bulb from the dash that way it will play all the time
To keep the screen on at all times ground the hand brake wire on the back of the radio behind a screw this wire has no power so no worries for a short.
ya i scored this flip up on ebay for 200,and then eneded up getting 25 bucks back because of shipping problems..so for 175 i got a 100 percent better sounding radio.just keep ur eyes open there all over the place on ebay and thanx for the rating
u didn*t bypass it for flymode by groundin the emergency brake wire there was also a 12v wire on the bak of deck beige and white rearview cam power wire

You can bypass your parking brake cable by grounding it. At least that's what I did with my pioneer avic z2. Now I can play DVDs while I'm movin
