It's funny how so many from our generation have such similar childhood memories with the PS1--countless hours spent sitting around at friends' houses watching them play entire RPGs (FF7 of course), passing the controller playing fighting games, talking trash on each others' (lack of) skills, reluctantly allowing someone's little brother or sister to tag along and watch as long as they didn't annoy us too much... I, too, bought a stack of PS1 RPGs a few years back when they popped up for sale locally, hoping to relive some of those moments again as a grown man. A brief attempt one afternoon proved the futility of trying to go back, and the stack of games has remained on the shelf unplayed ever since. Simply thinking back to those youthful, carefree summer days is a rewarding enough experience for me, and those memories are more treasured than any shelf full of games. Thanks for sharing your parting words of wisdom. Now in or approaching middle age, it is easy to forget. Someday soon we will be old men looking back on our lives right now just as fondly as we do those summers of our youth. Perhaps that understanding can help us see every day as the golden times that they are and entice us to slow down and savor each lingering moment. Be well, Nate.
Thanks cabbage! Looking back on all these games really makes me reflect. Now a days I feel I really drop wisdom for my younger co worker on what I wish I did different, like invest, reading, fitness etc... But if you accept getting old, I believe your potential for increased happiness goes up. Not all bad lol
Dude, I’ve been following you and the guys for a long time! I still love seeing your videos pop up. Are you really selling your collection? I totally had a modded Ps1 eventually lol. Couldn’t afford much else back then lol.
I'd sell ya, but the thought of doing it myself is daunting, it'll take years lol but if I could sell everything in one go... I'd sell for a fair price. I'm trying to enjoy everything this year before I sell though
@@gc_marcelli I think I'll do like you, just keep a few items, but in the grand scheme I'll sell 99% of everything. It's like an all or nothing for me. I don't want to waste time just selling one at a time. 👍
The Inferior Version of MGS1 is the GameCube Version and I Don’t Want to Hear the Graphics as the only Reason for it to be Better: Because the Voice Acting, Music, Cutscenes, are not even close to matching the Magic of the PS1 Version Plus the Normal Mode for MGS1 on the PS1 is Harder Than MGSTTS on Extreme
My Top 10 VideoGames of All Time are 1. MGS3 2. MGS1 3. TLOU Remastered 4. Persona 5 Royal 5. Persona 4 Golden 6. XenoBlade Chronicles 3 7. XenoBlade Chronicles Definitive Edition 8. Fire Emblem Three Houses 9. RE4 Remake 10. RE2 Remake

Such a throwback of Thriftdweller! Incredible PS 1 collection.
A quarter of my PS1 collection is Tomb Raider games. I played PS1 at some friends house but it was never a system I really loved.
Lara Croft lol I believe that. Ps1 I like cause I can pay it in my PS2 lol

Long story.... But in short, it's "dirty" now 😂
