Im so glad you made this video! Ive been wanting to modernize an old buffet and like many other first time projects, I tend to "fly by the seat of my pants".. I was hoping to accomplish the white wash effect without actually white washing 😇.. I blindly purchased an antique grey chalk paint and white wax with nothing more than a hope, that it would work.. You've confirmed it! 🤩
    Thanks bunches!!

Is there a picture of the black wax after using the white wax ?

Can you reuse the rag you used to whip off the wax?

Ozzie, I usually use Dark wax on my chalk paint projects because I LOVE THE LOOK, but I'm doing a frame tonight and using white wax for the first time. I noticed you didn't apply any clear wax. Should I apply clear wax when using white wax like I would do for the dark wax or is it not necessary? Thanks sweetie. Great video.

Hi Kathie! It's up to you. I find the White Wax to be less effective with Clear Wax underneath so I prefer going straight to White. It does "cloud" the color a bit, though, so it would depend on what you are aiming for. Maybe try both in an inconspicuous area to see which you like. Hope that was helpful! Thanks! :)

I've just bought a waxed oak fireplace. Any way to lighten it without having to strip or paint it?

What does the surface feel like? Is it porous or dry enough to accept wax absorption? If so, you may be able to use the White wax on it. It's a subtle lightener, though.

What kind of look does the black wax look over the white wax

it's a really beautiful finish - i don't have a video of it yet and have only used them together a handful of times. i would see if your local stockist has an example in their shop! :)
