1). Most of our Ukraine aid is in the form of weapons and ammunition. Weapons and ammunition produced in the U.S.A. Production which employs American workers. We are helping our people by helping Ukraine. It’s not one or the other.
2). I notice that the same politicians currently complaining about Ukraine aid oppose spending government money to aid our homeless, improve our drinking water, or anything else that might help ordinary Americans. It’s almost like they don’t want to help anyone, at all, not even Americans. Just something to think about.
They have to crank up the war machines. Too many people. When they paused interest rate hikes and announced reductions for the next two years we should have known war coming.

Ukraine also proved to be a slaughterhouse for foreign mercenaries. Afghanistan and Iraq were just nice resorts in comparison. It's not even close. Meanwhile Zelenskyy himself (he is such a big mouth) in his press-conference said that his military demanded from him mobilization of next 500 000. It's another confirmation that 500 000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or mangled and crippled for life to the extent that even Zelenskyy couldn't send them back to the front (i.e. amputees without two or more limbs, blind etc.). In fact Zelenskyy is running out of cannon fodder. There are simply no next 500 000 to kidnap off the streets, gyms and public transport. NYT wrote about these mass kidnappings that were happening only in Zelenskyy Ukraine and Hitler's Germany in 1945 in an article ‘People Snatchers’.
I love how this is all Zelenskyy’s fault despite, you know, Ukraine being the defender. Weird that you never blame Putin for starting this war, or for his mobilization of hundreds of thousands of his people.

Not sure that he has a choice. The choice is being made by America, then Europe. That is why this guy is spruiking the positives when there is none for Ukraine. While it is great to be optimistic, but delusional can't be confused with optimism.
Zelensky was being delusional when he seek NATO and EU membership at the before the war despite the fact that Ukraine failed on all counts to meet the conditions of admission. But that didn't deter him from keep trying...and is still trying.
Two years later, the country is in ruin, the country is destroyed, its social fabric is torn to nits as half of the population fled, while a large part of it either died or injured. Still, NATO membership never left his mouth ! America sees the writing on the wall, and the "iron-clad" commitment turned out to be coated in imitation iron. Europe can't be of much help even if it wanted to. It has no capability to help. Unlike America, Europe was not set up for war like this.
