Description, in English: In May 2014, the Swedish Post launched the European Stamps of the Year. All countries in Europe each develop their stamp on a common theme. This year's theme is musical instruments, and the Swedish Post chose - the key harp! In connection with this, this recording was made at the Eric Sahlström Institute. On the stamp are Olov Johansson, head teacher at the one-year course at the Eric Sahlström Institute. In the video he plays with some of the students in the school. (Jonathan Wanneby, Elisabet Ryd and Lydia Ievins.)
@Adam Kent Nykelharpa has extra strings which vibrate not by direct touch of the bow but of the other strings vibration, cauzing that reverb/echo sound. There are many traditional instruments in this world who can do this. The best examples coming in my head are the indian and bulgarian ones, look it up for instruments like Sarangi, Dilruba or Taus, and bulgarian "Gadulka". These, simmilar to Nykelharpa, they have somewhere under the main ones, very close to the acoustic box several strings that gently vibrates. :)
The sound of all the Nyckelharpas (Nyckelharpae?) playing together is truly incredible...

Reminded me of folk fiddling from Dalarna (medieval version!) ... so it's no surprise to find this ensemble is from Sweden ... loved it! R (Australia)
nyckelharpa was played alot in Dalarna and the regions around it. The oldest nyckelharpa that still exists today is from Mora in Dalarna
