Sleepbootdagen 2011

Impressie van de Nationale Sleepbootdagen in Vianen 2011. Reunion of old tugboats in a place called Vianen in the Netherlands. The small boats in the end of the video (called 'opduwer') were used to push freigthships on the inland waterways that were originally equipped only with sails. It was cheaper to buy and use a small 'pushboat' then to build in a dieselengine.

The Nationale Sleepboot dagen (National Tugboat Days) will be held this year in Vianen, Holland on 8, 9 and 10 may 2013.
