If you have a pre 05-06 year... The cable might be an issue for you. Idk if you still have the mini, but check the cables attached to the transmission. The plastic that they used tends to break.

How did you get the cables off of the bottom of the shifter itself?

pull really fucking hard but carefully not to damage anything. I used a flathead to gently pry against the box.

How about removing the last linkage from the topside his video cuts off right before that
