Long time fans of the channel might be wondering, "But Platinum!!!!! Where is the cool recreated intro?!?!" Here are the reasons why I plan on stopping that. 1). Copyright. You guys gotta realize I was like Neo from the Matrix with how I was dodging those copyright claims. The complexity of dodging copyright claims went from pitch shifting audio to hiring a fiverr musician to recreate the Dethklok intro and then me doing the vocals over it. Point is, riding the line between fair use and copyright is a pretty stressful place to be because my videos could be demonetized at a moment's notice. 2). Time. Those intros took a very long time to make and I'd rather spend that time making other videos. 3). I don't want to make them anymore. (I will be updating this comment if anything about this guide changes [bug fixes, misinfo, etc]. Correction - The Opera Event is a required fight.
Thank you so much, had my first ever raid in wow today and our leader didn't show, I started inviting everyone and ended up having to lead the group myself having only ever levelled 1 character on classic but this guide got us through half the raid with only a few wipes. Cheers for this in depth guide!
You almost, ALMOST, make me want to start WoW again. I miss raiding due to the shared goals and the comradery you can get in some guilds as we work towards a shared goal.
When it came to shade of aran, i remember one of my guildies put it in the funniest way: 1. When it gets cold (blizzards) get closer to him 2. When he gets too clingy (arcane explosions) run away from him 3. When it gets nice and warm, just sit an enjoy.
Karazhan will always be the sentimental favorite raid for me. I was in a PvP guild in Vanilla and we never did any raids besides ZG, so when BC then Kara came out we all got attuned and did eventually beat it. Those smaller raids were so nice after never having nearly enough for 40s back in Vanilla
Definitely remains my fav raid to this day. Not only was it an easier raid for people just gearing up for harder content, but it also had great lore, cool quests and a ton of bosses and areas. It truly felt like a huge mad wizard's castle. Mobs were interesting, the bosses were cool and it had such a nice atmosphere that made you feel like in a fantasy RPG. I always did my attunement on every char that played in TBC because i wanted to run it with every one. I will always have fond memories of that place and i really never went there for loot, just for the journey. Like watching your fav fantasy movie over and over :)
I put the playback speed to 0.50x when you went over the attunement process. I didn't change it back to normal for rest of the Video because it made you sound really drunk and it was super entertaining xD
This guide is awesome - I love the personality your videos have. It's so nice to have a change of pace from the typical bored nerd reading off a script and just showing gameplay footage that I see in so many other guides.
I think I've already commented on this before, and now that I'm about to raid lead Kara once again I can't tell you how good this guide is. Platinum, you're extremely talented and each video just gets better and better. I really hope some day you make it big in the editing world of television and movies if that's what you want to do. I would love to be a grandpa some day and be like...see that Editor? I knew him way back when. You're the man!
I remember when my cousin got me invited into the raiding guild he was in. I was so proud, I had never done raiding before. They were still doing Karazhan runs in order to gear up for Gruul's Lair, so it fit perfectly. We get to Moroes, and me, being a hunter, is charged with CC'ing one of the adds by using frost trap on it. So anyway, it resists my trap, at least I think so. Trap didn't work, so the add is beating me up and I can't do anything about it because frost trap is on cooldown. Then the add fears my cousin, who runs into an adjacent room, pulls all the trash in there, and we wipe. To Moroes. I got chewed out and everyone ragequit. Stopped playing WoW not long after. Fond memories.
@@ashkii9452 You get over it after the first 5-6 times. It's like this in almost every MMO with raids too, regardless of the difficulty level. I've seen people get mad over the baby puzzle box mechanics in ESO, as well the quantum physics bullshit in D2. It's all the same, just laugh it off and go at it tomorrow.
The Wizard of Oz fight is just a masterpiece in really fun encounter design. Not hard, but full of flavor and every single thing about each NPC in the fight makes complete sense with the movie. High King Mulgar was similar in that regard, just very well designed.
Ah this was a great guide! I'll miss the dungeon dive intros, but the change is totally understandable. Appreciate all the time and effort you put into these. Keep up the great work man!
As soon as I saw this video, I stopped and grab a drink and popcorn to watch the intro, and it was nothing!!! I love your vids but I think many people agree that the AQ and Naxx intro videos were really sweet. Definitely do more intro videos like those
Can cc and cast spells on the skeletons. Confirmed this after, as a mage I wasn't attacking them on my first attempt and people were like, "wtf are you doing?"
Adventurers: "Wait why do you have gorehowl?!" Prince Malchezar: "Oh that's very simple I uh..... won it in a game of Hearthstone...?" Adventurers: "Seems legit."
Already can say why. According to the book The Last Guardian, Kara is a kind of timespace zone. Adding that with the quotes of the Prince and removed/cutted content from the game either vanilla or WoD (since the raid was supposed to be in vanilla wow and the rework of the raid) Malchezar was able to travel into different timelines with his powers and the tower as a support. In one of them He obtained the weapon. Of course this is an hypothesis but all that I said is substantiated with the content that could make the raid the last raid of vanilla wow and the removed content from WoD that could make it one of the best expansion. If Spanish doesn't bother you, here is a documentary that thoroughly explains everything about Wod: ua-cam.com/video/_xG4FukfCuQ/v-deo.html

Just went into my first karazhan run in tbc classic (before I saw this video). The guys was already geared up for MH and BT. I was second healer and had no clue what was going on as we ran through it so fast. We wiped once on Nightbane. The other healer carried me hard.
Fun fact: the guy who designed Flame Wreath actually did not intend for it to work the way it does, he just wanted it to limit you to a circle rather than force you to not move, and only realized it was bugged to work the way it does after release and they never fixed it because all the players just accepted that’s how the fight was intended to work and were used to it.
The wizard of oz must be a rare encounter. As many times as i ran kara with my guild we never got that play. It was always Romeo & Juliet or red riding hood. On that note Kara does bring back a lot of fun memories of that raid.
'Midnight' is a really cool Mount, imho. One of my fave in fact. I asked my Guildies if it would be cool if I rolled "need" when he dropped and they were happy to oblige, I'm happy to say. :)
