DIY House and Deck Addition, time lapse start to finish

- This is my house addition I build, pretty much by myself in a month during week-ends and evenings. I put a few tips and tricks on how to build such a project, pretty much alone. Enjoy this timelapse!

Hey thanks mate! That was the main goal, thats is why I built that stuff, prior to this addition. We decided about 3 years ago that we needed more space and I worked and built stuff to help me with this build! ( tractor, forklift, backhoe, dump trailer, foldable scafolding etc..)

Hey cousin!!! Et bien oui, le plan de match d agrandir avait été décidé il y déjà 3 ans de cela, donc sur la majorité de mes dernier videos (projets) était directement en lien avec cette construction (tracteur, kit de fourche, echaffaud pliable, remorque dumpeuse etc...)
I laughed when you're mischievous 🐕 tried to run off with the pack of screws and spilled them all over the deck.😂
You have know idea I harder it was to built this addition with my puppy around me! 🤦♂️ He ate and stoled a bunch of things and was always in the way! 🤨 Never again!
@@VinyB57 Well annoying as your puppy was... I'm sure his or her mischievous lime light moment shot up the likes on your video drastically because your dog made people laugh and forget about this crazy world we are living in today... even for a short while.
Wow that turned out great. Of course the wind is blowing hardest on the day you lift the biggest wall and of course it starts raining while you are working on the roof. I was a little surprised to not hear a classic Viny B voice over, but the video style plays well as you've got great background audio. Loved seeing your family help and loved seeing all the equipment you've been building leading up to this put to work. Most underrated channel on YT!
Thanks bro!! yep didn't feel like doing a voice over, since I think giving advices about construction, when it's not my daily job, it's a risky business! And about the background audio, I had to recreate 50% of it while editing, cause there was no sound when filming with timelapse on my gopro! That took for EVER!! Well, I should have gone with the voice over...🤣
The tractor scaffolding had me scratching my head until I saw the legs on it to keep the tractor from tipping. Pretty smart solution!

Viny! Nicely done. Recently under took a similar project myself and it’s always a lot more work than you realize but so worth it when you’re done. Great to see you getting your boy involved too. He’ll remember that time frame for his entire life.

Je n'ai pas compté les heures, mais j'ai commencé début juin et fini la première de juillet.... ...mais l'intérieur n'est pas fini, j,attends mon gars de gypse / platre qu'il passe, parce que c'est sur que je ne tire pas les joints! 🤢🤮 Donc il reste encore du boulot, mais pour ce vidéo un peu plus d'un mois, par les soirs et fds, mais comme dirait ma femme...je ne suis pas normal..un peu trop ''crinké''!

For securing a new floor to an existing structure, I prefer joist hangers instead of a ledger plate bolted into the foundation… I’m sure you did the math
That's my second house addition on this house and I added braces on the fisrt one. Don't think I'll need them for this one...until I change my mind! 😅

A month and a half (just the exterior tho) I'm still waiting for the guys for the drywall and plaster to come do the job! Cause I'm not doing that, for sure!! 🤢🤮

What, no commentary? Missed hearing yor quips & knowledge on diffrent things & ways of doing them.
Yeah! Since I'm more an amateur about house construction then a pro, I did'nt want to give bad advices. But when it come to engineering or metal working, that thing, I know of and I've been doing professionnaly for many decades...so no problem adding the voce over!
Déjà on sait que tu mens par ce que en tout, ça t'a pris 20mn42. Bon sérieusement c'est un super travail mais qui reste surprenant pour moi pour certaines choses. Ici on construit très rarement en bois encore moins à la cloueuse par ce qu'on visse (enfin la plupart du temps) C'est surtout que je me demande pourquoi avec le climat Canadien les gens ne construisent pas plus en parpaing puis laine de roche puis BA 13. C'est pas une critique, juste une question.
c,est une très bonne question. J'imagine qu'avec nos grande foret, construire en bois est la facon la plus économique?! 🤷♂️Et le code demande des clous, les visses sont moins bonnes en cisaillement, bref cela dépend d'où on habite dans le monde et selon le code de la construction. Règle générale on utilise plus les visse pour les galléries de maison et les clous pour la charpente.

Yep! Quand même, j'men suis sortit pas si pire! Le pire jour fut quand on a levé les murs...ça prit l'avant-midi et bien sur, il a plu durant tout ce temp et gros soleil en PM 🤦♂️Au moins je peux profiter du beau temps sur mon balcon pour le restant de l'été! 😎

I cannot sing, I'm ok with the dancing... lost about 5 pounds, but gain back a bit of muscle so that's why it's wasn't such a big wieght lost! But still, feel pretty ready to hit the beach with that Dad-fat-ish-inshape-ish-bod! 😅
