I’m 46 and I’ve been listening to my brother for over 6 yrs and have never commented! Young fellas, listen!!! Please! There is nothing like a black man that is well spoken, clean and ready for business!
I'm grateful for this video brother. Alot of guys don't receive guidance like this not even in school. It's all part of masculinity and it's something i believe is not being taught anymore man. This is true discipleship, salute bruh ✊
Great list! I carry a really nice brown leather journal with me that doubles as a wallet. I even had a custom pen made for it. I can jot down ideas and take notes on the go. Plus it looks stylish when I pull it out and take down some information someone is giving me.
@@TheStyleOG I would like add on try to learn some kind of unarmed martial arts or combat sport to go along with owning a firearm too. With this criminally corrupt economy I'm still driving my 2011 Honda Civic. Still runs brand new to this day and I save so much money by keeping it. Not about to pay an extra $15k for a new car now vs 3 years ago. Now to mention how bad the insurance rates would be on it. Salute OG 🫡
At 65 I had just about everything you said the only thing I was missing was a pocket knife add a travel bag I'm still using my gym bag with Nike written on it thanks for the heads up brother
Excellent work young brother It's a good thing there are channels out here like this. I watch Vladmir for shoes and I check you out. I had these things a long time ago because my Father gave me the game(everyone doesn't have a father unfortunately) also I went to the Marine Corps. A lot of things have been lost in translation for the young bloods and they should appreciate your channel. Keep doing your thing salute 🫡🫡
first of all thank the style OG for this vid, brah I'm 50 and I'm missing a few of these but I'm not discouraged we didn't have access to info Like this. take advantage of this vid and use it to perfect your visuals in the world. bless up family
Always a pleasure to watch these. Absolutely agree about a good watch, wallet, and pocket knife. A classic watch sets a man apart from those wearing nothing or a digital does everything and looks boring model. I have some vintage classic models that I frequently get comments on.
I'd like to add a high quality leatherman multitool. Once I started carrying a leatherman wave plus, I became the guy that everyone looks to when they have a simple problem they need solved. 👍🏼 The reliability is something I wanted to be known for.
I wished I took more notice on myself at 30, not sure I had any of these at that age, but late to the show i think I got there by 34. And you are so right it all makes a difference. From the little things like ditching that old orange Nylon wallet and chewed up old Biro for a nice looking Bi-Fold brown leather wallet and Steel Parker Jotter, they cost very little and if looked after will give years of service while enhancing style.
i like the toyota/honda/lexus and SOME mitsubishi options. worked on a ton of cars, one toyota i work on has ~480k miles cast iron is great for tools, you better own a rachet set, and preferebly a large set, easy to get from hardware fraud for less than 150, plumbing tools are great to have, hammer and ajustable wrench are required quinn all 3 sizes QUINN 66-Piece SAE and metric set 60$ (great start) a COUPLE powertools, even corded can absolutly save you a ton of time and money (recomendations: drill, impact driver, circular saw, sawzall, oscilating saw IN THAT ORDER) dont you dare buy the cheap battery ones, if your looking to save a couple bucks buy corded.
These are great recommendations. ☑ Some things can be built on over time and others simply are "one and done". Tools, a knife, a watch, and a cast-iron skillet can be one time purchases if you research, take your time to figure out what you like, and buy quality items. Other things like your signature fragrance, wallet, and travel bag are things that maybe you can build on over time as you figure out how you want to use them and if they work for you successfully.
Although I'm 40, I believe that every man should own a toiletry bag by the age of 30 👍🏾 My late uncle always carried a toiletry bag when he traveled 👍🏾
I was sitting down just the other day with some young brothers at work! We were discussing ‘ Outtings & Dinner dates’ They’re in their 30’s. I asked them where do they go for dinner dates?!?! 🤣🤣 They had no clue. So I asked them “ What would you wear out to a nice restaurant?” My one young brother said “ A nice Jean suit and a fresh pair of JORDANS!!🤣🤣🤣 WOW. I saw a picture of ONE of their dates! The ladies who they went out with?!? Needs a refresher course on “ Dressing for a dinner date” 😂
I used to wear a pocket knife all the time and straight knifes especially being part of motorcycle clubs in my past I might start wearing one on me again!!
This car thing is huge eye roll.. cars don’t harbor independence. They harbor payments out the exhaust. They are one huge part of keeping poor. I could go on for days.. are they useful, sure. But they’ve done more harm than good. The car industry said we needed them, and people haven’t stopped saying that.
Unless u live in Manhattan, you need a car. The problem is that people buy cars they can’t afford because they want to flex on social media or listen to music that says that if you don’t have a hellcat you broke asf. There are plenty of cheap, used cars on the market that can be brought and get u from A to B reliably
@@pauljohnson962 I agree. Location does play a very heavy role to determine the relevancy of a vehicle. It is a shame that in our society currently that not to many people have the common sense to get a cash car (Toyota or Honda) that is somewhat reliable. Save money, and build their credit. After a year or two of consistency, get something better that they can afford.
At the age of 35 I can honestly say I only have a couple of these essentials. Thanks for the road map for now I know what others I need to collect
0:50 - sense of purpose
1:34 - clean and reliable car
2:32- two pair of dress shoes
3:30 - navy blazer
4:15 - cast iron skillet
5:11 - quality watch
6:03 - signature scent
6:50 - tool box
7:35 - grooming kit
8:08 - travel bag
8:50 - white dress shirt
9:34 - quality wallet
10:19 - pocket knife
10:55 - journal
