- California Gov. Gavin Newsom has issued an executive order directing state agencies “to move urgently to address dangerous” homeless encampments and clear them from state land while giving city and local leaders a push to do the same.

It’s because of the Supreme Court decision that happened recently.
He caused it by his policies. He's been in office long enough to have figured out solutions. Now after nearly eight years he has a solution. Don't be gullible or small minded. Use your brains!
It's all his fault to begin with
this started with Reagan. It was made worse by judges who prevented the state from doing anything. Now, those rulings have changed, and now the state can do something. it will be newsom's fault if it isn't cleaned up in a year or two.

its happening now because Appellate judges have ruled that the State can do it. The State was being blocked before.
The only issue is it will force them onto Private Property and those property owners will be told that there isn't anything that can be done to move them because it is Private Property.

here's the solution. stop spending your housing money on drugs. Addiction is driving 80 percent of these hardcore homeless. The rest can be helped. Addicts don't accept help because they would rather spend their money on drugs, and paying rent seems like a big waste of drug money.

All the people praising the governor’s actions are the people who are making money from this. It’s not right to go after poor people because it may one day be you or a family member.
you move them, and move them again, and they will eventually accept help. this is all about getting them to accept help. And if they dont, then arrest them until they sober up.
To place the people in a big center instead of sleeping on the street. The people will get sick on the street.
The US Supreme Court, that Trump put in place, ruled that state and local laws penalizing homeless people do not violate the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment!
These states where cities are rounding up and/or chasing out homeless people need to use their resources to get all the deserted/empty buildings fitted for low cost affordable residential housing and treatment centers, it costs millions less to accomplish, treats the homeless with respect and dignity, and creates a viable cooperative working and much safer environment for the whole community…
Democrats should have cleaned this up before opening the border.
