@@crazyinsanepenguin : Yeah, I think people would have been gunning for Tony in Game Changers no matter what he did. I don't think that cast would have let him get to the merge, much less FTC.
I remember listening to an interview with Tony and he said he never intended to play again after GC. However, he was building a new house so he accepted WAW for the appearance fee to build a big ass pool, thinking he would be first out.
even if Game Changers was strategy for later seasons, people still remembered Tony's Cagayan season vividly. And he was still considered a MASSIVE threat on WaW regardless of what happened in Game Changers. RHAP (who didn't think he could possibly win the season) ranked him in the top five in terms of threat-level before the season started.
How about Tyson in BvW who continued to tell his alliance to keep splitting votes despite him having the idol, yeah it was overall pointless but it led to a lot of the cast giving up on the social scrambling in favor of idol scrambling.
Think a lot of people kinda overrate Erika’s game. She tried to play hard pre merge which made her have a massive target on her back, then got saved with the hourglass. Obviously survivor has an element of luck but she didn’t have agency in the game until the end because of her misplays at the start; so was seen as a goat in a sense.
