They are still available, but you will need to know the thickness.There is a sealing compound speced, I don't recall what it is. Do not use silicone. This seal can also be replaced, with out removing the geared hub.Remove the haft shaft, remove the four bolt bearing retainer, replace the seal, replace the shim gaskets, install the haft shaft.
Me too! You might be able to get by leaving it attached. That hub weighs a ton, and I had to use a top of the line air hammer to get the tie rod apart.

If you pull the half shaft you could replace it with the hub still on the vehicle. If I had to do it again, I would try this method.

I removed the half shaft and pulled the seal without taking off the cover off . It went well now gotta do a output seal
I bet you could, I may try that next time.
