Marie had diamonds and pearls at a time when diamonds and pearls really meant something. Like the narrator said, cultured pearls didn’t exist and the great diamonds mines of Africa and Russia hadn’t been discovered.

That last necklace, the Zig Zag is crazy beautiful. The grey, natural pearls, with the gold and rubies? If I had $500,000, I’d gladly purchase that.

It's awful to think that the only folks who can afford to buy these kinds of jewels are folks like the Saudis or Slavic oligarchs or other such families who greedily buy these precious artifacts, then hide them in safety deposit boxes. These, in particular, are parts of the French national patrimony.

The natural patrimony of the populace that murdered her? Mmmhmmm, OK. People have the "right" to what they legally earned or are freely given. The jealousy & greed of those with less is as common as dirt. A superior person works to rule unworthy feelings, not nurture them.

Wonderful and Fascinating Video🤗 I don't believe Marie Antoinette was "as grand" as they say. She was actually quite charitable and even adopted 9 orphans that she loved including a young black boy raised at the French Court as an equal with the Royal Children. She was blamed because she was Austrian the whole "Affair of the Necklace" which deserves a video itself it was quite a necklace only she didnt actually order it. and the French hated Austria why I've no idea
