- Hey guys! Well, winter is here! I thought it would be fun to take the Frazer for one last drive before we put it away... I had to go to the local post office to ship a part, so I figured it was a fun opportunity to fire up the old girl and take Frankers for a spin!
Thank you to everyone who ordered a 1960 Fury T-shirt, our best-selling shirt ever! They are being printed now and will ship immediately when they are finished; I can't wait to get mine!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.

Oh, Canadaaaa!
Dan in Bangor
Frasier for the win !!!
l remember riding in my Dad's Frazer just like this one and it was green to back in the early 1950's.....Thanks Scott ans WHAT A FINE DOG🐩 FRANKERS IS WOW.......
Shoe🇺🇸
Oh
My
God.
I was just sitting here, sipping my coffee, thinking to myself: "Oh hey! New video from Scott! Sweet!"
Then I read the description briefly and thought "Nah, this can't be it..he didn't make a video just for this"
And then you showed the package on screen.
I almost dropped my coffee.
You absolute legend. You have absolutely zero clue how it feels to be featured on your favorite UA-camr's channel, even briefly, let alone knowing the fact you're doing this to help me.
See? This is one of the best things about loving old cars, it brings people together.
Also, please do look after yourself with that back of yours...
Regardless, this made my day. Thank you sincerely, Scott & Frankers. I deeply appreciate your kindness.
God bless you all.
Look out for yourselves.
Cordially yours, Darius.
The visual of Frankers dutifully awaiting the snow encrusted Fraser to turn over and the opening of the back door for entry- which her canine intuition foretold would certainly occur- was priceless. Very good to see the Fraser on the road prior to its impending hibernation. Be well and coax that back into shape.
Wow !! .. This was an authentic normal driving experience from the early 50s.
It's amazing to hear how that 6 volt system actually got the job done.
I started driving in the mid 60s, when we had 12 volts, snow tires and adequate heaters.
Haven’t seen the Frazer in awhile. What a sweet old car.
My favorite show on UA-cam. 👍❤ Cheers
I love the intense expression on Frankers face whenever shes in the passenger seat
"I wonder where we're going this time!?"
Amazing testimony to the durability of the cars of the time.
Love the slow crank challenge...very impressive
I always considered the 1960 Plymouth Fury to be the Coldwarmotors signature piece however after watching this video
I am convinced that the Frazier embodies everything I love about the show. There is something strangely therapeutic watching a man and his dog going down a snow covered road in a beautiful honest vintage motor vehicle.
Great video.Thanks Scott
Oh the fond memories of cleaning the snow off my car in the winter! Now I'm in AZ I don't miss such thins so much lol! Always a delight to see old iron still on the road.
That Frazer is a real die-hard. Always nice to see Frankers. See you Saturday.
Love that your ice scraper is a bondo spreader. Mine is a Tim Horton's card. Its also good for spreading bondo. Is there nothing Tims can't do! Lol
1st snow, ALREADY !!! Holy dyna........
The Frazer started up well and sounds great!!!
Franker's is glad to go for a rip and looks like a perfect lady doing so!!!!
Never having had to scrape a couple of feet of snow off my vehicle, let alone start it beforehand, I am totally in awe of the old Frazer's durability in such conditions. Sure, she took some coaxing and billowed black smoke for a bit due to the temperature of the engine when she caught, but she still fired up and ran sweetly enough. I'm always amazed at the smooth idle of that beast considering the other noises she's making - especially from the bottom end - but she doesn't act like James Bond's Aston (after he flips a certain little switch to create a smoke screen) and still does what is expected of her. A true tribute to the engineering of the period, I reckon. All the best - and I hope your back feels better soon.
An occasional STP cocktail should fill in the gaps and keep Frazer happy much longer.
I feel for you Brother. My huskies waste my back about every time I take them for a walk. They are bread to pull. I am constantly fighting back against there pulling using my back to do it. Speaking of huskies. Judging by the way Frankers likes the snow so much I think she might be part husky. I am amazed at how early you get snow up there. Where I live we don't usually see snow until the end of December. If then. Thanks for taking us for one last ride in the Frasier for the year. She's a good old girl. I'm glad to see her still gracing the roads of Canada. Looking forward to your Saturday video. As usual the huskies; Sakari, Chinook, and Kunik bid you and Frankers a fond "Arooo". Please give Frankers some pets, scratches behind the ears, and maybe a couple of treats. But don't tell her dad.
Love the old Frazer. I reckon it needs some love.
Seeing a bondo squeegee used as an ice scraper? Man, I like this channel!
It may be 'knock, knock, knocking on Heaven's door',but the Frazier sure is a good runner.Had 70f (21c) in Michigan today so I did a last big ride too.Hope you feel better soon.Backs are a bit^# when they hurt.
Great to see you and Frankers on a Thursday, I know that hurt back walk well. The Frazier has the best looking dash for cars of that era, at least in my opinion.
The Mighty Frazer with the Beautiful Dashboard continues to amaze me! A new bearing in there would be a real nice gesture !
Agree. Give the old girl some love.
Your pioneer spirit went into overdrive deicing the Frazier with a barking back. Setting up the camera couldn't have been any fun either. Thanks to you and Frankers for taking us along on your frosty adventure. Feel better!
Dear Frankers, how she loves the snow! The Fraser in the freezer was deeply impressive, hardly the battery juice to turn her over and yet off she goes. I wish I was as /good as that.
Frazer looks nice.
What a testament to old engineering. Ran like a trooper. Frankers loved every minute. Fantastic.
Now that is what I call winter! I can hear when you are walking that the snow is cold and dry. This is actually much better to drive on than our slippery wet stuff we usually get here where I live. It got colder. But winter is only in the Swiss mountains. I put all my oldies into storage today. If we are lucky, we never get as much snow at once as you already got.
Old cars are much easier to start after a long parking than new ones. Love this Frazer. I thought you would have to use a starter when I saw how slow the engine was turning. Surprise: The old Frazer made it again!
To bad you can’t get snow tires for the Frazer . L would have been fun to see her in the winter and see how she would have held up under those conditions . Love seeing the Frazer . Cheers
I'm counting on your videos helping me get through the winter.
Winter comes early in Northern Alberta. it's around 75 f in the Boston area.
I hope your back feels better soon. It is definitely not fun. It was nice to see the Frazer going and driving. I get a kick out of that car. I like the style of the interior and the dash. The look on Franker's face is too funny and cute. She makes me smile. I love the way she runs around like a lunatic and then realizes it friggin cold out. I love your sketchy ice scraper. That is a nice product idea to sell. CWM ice scrapers that are guaranteed to scratch your paint, break the wiper blades and scrape your knuckles for only $9.95 each and it includes a band aid for your skinned knuckle. Have fun and get better!
This brought back so many memories, the sound, the cold, the smell:) Oh how I loved this, thank you.
Glad to see the old Frazer up and going on a cold day. Still in the 50s and 60s here in Maine near the New Brunswick border. Changing next week with upper 40s for high temperatures. I don't miss starting carb cars on winter days. Fuel injection is awesome. The Frazer did start and go even though she didn't want to wake up too easily. Hope the Frazer makes it inside for the winter! Reminds me of starting my old Dodge Darts and old Chevettes on cold days. Cranky in more ways than one. Hoping you get a warm up and the white stuff disappears! Enjoy the weekend Scott and looking forward to the weekend video. George in Maine
Oh God, Scott! I was having flashbacks to my past at the Jaguar Cars Cold Test base in Timmins Ontario. Not a stranger to a bad back either but on those early morning cold starts it was normally a bad head that was the problem. Ah! happy days! The old gal was a bit clanky at first but soon warmed (literally) to the task. Take care of your back, it ain't fun I know. All the best, Mart in England.
Sorry for the sore back Scott and the return of snowy weather!!!😨 Here in the northeast of the US we are scheduled to reach temps of 70+ degrees (23 degrees Celsius) which is rare for this time of the year-- but I hope it rolls on til March! Trying to do a level one tidy in the garage before our first snowfall so I can push the Rambler in for wintertime shenanigans--thanks for the inspiration!
An episode wouldn’t be complete without Frankers, such a loyal companion.
Of course the ol' Fraze started. That's her magic!
Take care of the back - we're at that age now! See you on Saturday!
Love these videos keep them a coming, hope your back gets well soon.
The magical healing power of the Fraser - by the end of the video you’d stopped mentioning your back hurt!
Take care of that back, Scott! It's gonna be a long winter otherwise. Thanks for the ride a long.
I would totally watch a movie about a Canadian going on a winter adventure to the post office. Like snow dogs but with frankers.
Great to see the old Frazer out on the road, remember when you first rescued it. I'm sure you'll find something for that Winter Beater amongst the fleet. Looking forward to Saturday 😁
The fact that the Frazer started right up is a testament to the quality and the owner who cares. MAGNIFICENT.
Snowing in Denver now too.
Sorry to hear you hurt your back. I used to have a lot of problems with mine until I went to physical therapy. The secret to it is stretching exercises. Theres a bunch of different ones but one you can start with is lie on your back, bend one leg and raise the other 10 times, switch legs and repeat. Also do on each side. As we get old our muscles tend to tighen up so its important to get loose before working on stuff.
No shortage of bearing clearance with the Frazier! Cheers Scott!
Sorry about the back Scott! Lordy, I have been there and in the cold too!.. Of course the Frankers is ONE HAPPY Pup! Well not a pup anymore huh? The Frazer has balls for sure. That car really wanted one last go for sure! Good to see the little trip-and "KUDOS" for sending out that rocker arm! It will make one happy guy! Cheers, Rich
Watched your video first thing this morning . It reminded me of the times when I was a child and it snowed and school was closed and I went with my Dad to his job . I can still hear sounds of our 52 Chevy Styleline Deluxe 4 Door Sedan struggling to start. All that's missing is the use of an ice scraper wedged between the brake and gas pedal to increase the idle speed during warmup and installing the snow chains if the snow was really deep. Thanks for the memories.
I love seeing you out in the snow and trudging off to town in the Frazer. Reminds me of back in the 60's when I was a teen driving various old cars in snow. You are living the dream. Keep it up.
Take care of your back Scott, I have had problems with mine for the last twenty years or so, starting with running a forklift in a factory for twenty years then doing numerous things to it in the years since then, moving a cement birdbath for the better half and straining it then this week falling flat on my back in the yard -YEEOUCH!! take care 😊
Wow a Winter drive in the Frazier. Looks like fun to me. It's time for another Winter Beater contest.
I hope your back is OK.
It's so fun to see Franker's enjoying the car rides. he really loves it. The Frazer is so unique and amazing to be doing what it was built for 75 years ago! My father had a 1939 Chevy coupe and even with its 6V system used to groan a bit then turn right over in the harshest winters in NY.
Sorry to hear that Scott.
At least Franker's is happy!
Nice cold start! Lol.
Such an awesome car. And it has heat? Even better👍
Even though Frankers got to ride shotgun and I had to sit in the back I appreciate the ride in the Frazer. See you Saturday. Cheers 🍻
Thank you for the preview of what's to come here a bit later in the season. I'm enjoying near record warmth until the other shoe drops with little warning. Old faithful Frazer fires up. I love it. You should be used to sketchy tires. Stay safe. Cheers!
Frankers FROLICKING In The Snow and Then FEELING Her ANTICIPATION To Jumping In The Car For Bye By's Was Worthy Of This Video Scott 🤗🤗 Prayer Sent For God's Speed In The Healing Of Your Back and Complete Recovery Amen and Amen 🙏🙏 God Bless All 👍👍 Gary.
Always a treat to take a ride in the Frazer. I wouldn’t suggest returning to 6 volt systems - starter runs slow in the winter, but they work. I had two of them as drivers in winter ( ‘41 Stude and ‘51 Plymouth) . They were just fine. Cheers to all.
Very cool!!!!!!!!!👍🙂❄
The definition of a cold start haha brushing off the Alberta snowdrift hard snow from the car!!! Don’t miss this days landing in Edmonton and chiseling the car out in -30 heading for the drilling rig!!!
*The joys of a 6v (?) starter churn on a parky winter's day, great stuff*
Good old Frazer. Thanks for the filler videos. It helps to hold me over till Saturday. Hi Ms. Frankers.
I scraped ice like that for 17 winters off my old 1970 Beetle while it warmed up (a little). I would like to say those were the good old days, but I sure like my current winter beater's heated seats!!!
That snow hammer is just about to slip into the neighborhood here but it i still nice
That old girl is just great, I love how the 6 volt sounds so pitiful, but hey, that is how things were.
Now that would be cool to have winter specific tires on the Frazer... Take care of that back mister
One of the key defining factors in a winter car is the ability to clear the snow with a push broom without concern about the finish
Frosty Frazer fun. Thanks!
I hope your back is starting to feel better.
Take care of the back, buddy! Weather like that is a good reason to stay inside and cuddle with a warm poodle.
That old Frazier is still my favorite in your fleet. 6 volt and freezing, no issue for the Frazier.
Sweet video brother such a incredible time capsule rolling down the road 🙌. For anyone to see this car driving has to bring joy to their hearts. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this journey brother 🙏. God bless you and yours
Made my night Love to see Frankers having so much fun in the snow Cold War Motors is living up to its name look at that snow Hope your Back gets to feeling better soon Scott 💟
You obviously have no idea what "cold war motors" refers to. It has NOTHING to do with the outside temperature. Any one older than 12 years old would know
that the "cold war" refers to the time in U.S. / Canadian history when there was a stand-off between the west and the Soviet Union...a time when most of the vehicles in
Scott's inventory were originally built. Keep making foolish comments - - you are funny to point at and laugh at your idiocy......@Mary Gamer......dolt.....
We all know Frankers will never say NO to a car ride! Glad you made it to the mail and back! What is it, like 10 years of worry free Fraiser driving? We still dont have that kinda snow here in our part of Manitoba. I know it is coming!
Nothing like cranking 6 volts, and the mighty Continental 6
She didn't sound happy... I'm a big fan of 8v batteries on 6v systems. Just that little extra without all the rewiring.
The last few videos you’ve been saying snow’s coming - still jarring to see, especially after driving home from Boston tonight with the PT Cruiser’s sun roof open! Best to you and the Menace - see you Saturday!
The Frazer is a great car, Scott, thank you for taking us on the ride with you. First Denver snow last night so of course there was a pile up west of downtown. Rail overpass and black ice. I’m retired now so no more commuting in the snow. Hope your back is better soon. Cheers from CO USA
The Frazier fired right up. Good test of your car in this type weather. Impressive. A successful drive. In winter conditions. Thanks for sharing!
The Fraser is truly impressive as it is truly, a reliable mobile! 👏🏻👏🏻
Wow. Winter sure comes on quick over there. I bet Frankers had a wonderful time out and about.
That old Frazer is AWESOME 👌 Also glad to hear the shirt sales where great, I bought on for me and my dad, I been following the fury since like the fifth video on that car and absolutely had to have the shirt 👕.
Awesome! Thank you!
Back injuries suck. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Scott,
Frankers, snow, Frazier, fun...what could be better? Hope your back is feeling better. Saturday awaits.
Cheers from Ohio
Hi ! So you already got that white stuff ! Guess that frankers is happy ! All dogs love snow , except small lapdogs I guess . Want to agree with others , appreciate midweeks videos alot ! Its like warming up for the saturdays video !
What !! Snow allready . I live on the same latitude , but we got the Golfstream , so , a month away still I hope . 6 volt coldstarting , amazement every time . Knock knock rattle rattle 😁. Take care , Cheers.
Winter in Canada is the best seven months of the year!!!! :))
Take care of that back...
Looks cold ! Hope your back mends quick. I know the feeling .
When I retired in Massachusetts I escaped to South Carolina so I didn’t have to deal with those winters anymore & I love it, more comfortable time to work on hobbies lol
Oh man. It's pouring here but I'll take that over snow any day. At least you only have six more months of it, and Frankers looks happy with it.
Sorry to hear about your back, I hope it gets better soon for you. Good to see the Frazier out for one last ride. See you Saturday. Cheers from Michigan
No remote starter, no rear defrost, no winter tires but fun to drive around in the winter. I doubt that it would easily start ( 6 volrs ) during the real cold winter of northern Alberta. Get the Renault going as the winter beater. Love your chanel, by the way we will reach 22 degrees celcius in Cowansville, Quebec on Saturday (5).
Hope your back heals up soon! a warm bath will relax your muscles and hopefully have some effect on your aching back as well.
Uncle Tony from uncle Tony's garage hurt his back also just recently, regardless, hope you get well rested and back on your feet soon Scott. Now you can send your fellow Agents & Frankers on errands like a king! XD Anywho, get well soon!
Thanks again for posting. Can truly sympathize with you for the back issues - hope it gets better. Great use of the dual use ice scraper/mud spreader. Lovely bearing sounds during the cold start. As others have stated, the Frazer's dash and "moose guard" are classic. Realize you've vowed to do nothing about the paint, but... (damn...please...?).
*FRAZER!*
Such a wonderful old car. Everybody should have at least one bulletproof old rascal from that era...
Psychological makeup being what it is, just watching you folks have first snow makes me feel colder
in commiseration, I have to admit. BRRR!
- Ed on the Ridge
The old girl needs a bit of love and attention as she certainly deserves it. A nice paint job, some fun contemporary seat covers, and some cool retro 1970's rims.
I have always liked the Fraiser, it reminds me of my 1st car, a 53 Belair 4door. I had a lot of fun in that car. I hope your back heals. It's never fun to have back issues. Hello to Frankers. See you Saturday? Cheers.
Scott I’ve got a 93 Honda that would have given me almost as much trouble starting if it was buried in that much snow. What a car that old girl of yours is.
blew my back out in the 90s wrestling an old motor from a 54 Chevy truck. went straight to the knees. feel ya on the back pain. good to see y'all out and about
Can't believe the snow! It's going to be in the 70s in Nj tomorrow. You weather sucks, but slill less than your prime minister. Cheers!
Your video reminded me of the old days when the family car was a 1965 VW. That car refused to start in cold weather . The only way to get it started was to have someone give you a jump. I feel your pain I suffered with back issues for a very long time. Hope a speedy recovery.
Awesome. Both are awesome old girls! Thanks Scott!
The old Frazer sounded like she was ready to come apart when you fired her up. I really enjoy listening to a six volt cold start.
The old Frazer never fails you , she deserves a refreshing new paint job . Keep the old girl plunking along .
Frazier Brazier!
Putting the cold in coldwarmotors.
Fantastic!
And people think they need an AWD SUV or 4WD Truck for Winter.
So great to see Frankers riding shotgun in warm and comfort like that too.
