Used some garlic ones from the on site shop but also sticky krill soaked in the bloodworm liquid from sticky baits as well...with a few pellets as well. Meant to put it on the vid but missed it off somehow
13:41 "bit of tubing with a knot on the top to stop it sliding" - doesn't look like a regular knot, is it an elastic band you've tied on there (that the running ring can still slip over if need be) or is there some piece of kit for this purpose that I'm unaware of? I've seen others "fix" it in place with a Drennen big float stop, but that's not perfect as even those can slide on a hard cast when they're wet.
yes that's a eliding knot as didn't need it to stay.put on the cast as was using the boat, I now just use a anti tangle sleeve and push the tubing I to it.
@@thelymmanglerdangler Sorry for all the questions, what mainline are you using? Looks like mono rather than braid, which makes sense as it's not a huge lake, but is it 25lb? 30lb like the hooklink, or more? Cheers!
@@thelymmanglerdangler Thanks! Was debating whether to respool with braid or switch to heavier mono for that lake, just in case the big 'un takes the bait. Only 6000 reels though, so 30lb mono would only give me about 75 yards ha ha

I just use my normal carp line which is tough as old boots, just 20lb mono
