They are honestly pretty similar playstyles, Bwipo just knows how to cater his to pro play. Seems kinda like the perfect coach for Baus. Its too bad that he wont be able to do this more often once winter split starts.
Baus definitely needed to hear that HE needs to tell the team when HE has pressure or not. Also, framing it as a question “hey guys, I have pressure, can we dive mid” fits Bauss’ personality.
Bauss didn't want a coach that he didn't know or trust to come tell him things he may disagree with in my opinion... Instead he got a coach that actually told him he does so many things right and at a very high level. I bet he didn't expect that! He seemed pleasantly surprised by this presentation from Bwipo. One of the things that I noticed in all of the LR games so far, is that Bauss has been awesome at generating tempo advantage for the team. Either he draws a lot of attention, giving a ton of tempo to Neme, or the bot lane, or he uses it himself, as seen in the Gragas example that Bwipo had pulled up. But the team isn't always taking great advantage of that tempo, which is where Bwipo's advice seems really on point.
@@Kalatakieta yeah it was definitely a trippie redd type of situation and I mean this just goes to show that voice comming your thoughts just simply works
I hope Baus appreciates the fact that he might have gotten the absolute best possible coach he could possibly get, considering what he needed. The fact that he's focusing so heavily on giving Baus concepts that will allow him to improve on the coordination aspect of league even after the session is done, is brilliant. Very few people would've approached it this way and I think Bwipo even has done research and noted down what he needs help with the most, before even coming into the session. Bwipo should seriously consider a coaching position after he retires. This is the type of approach sports coaches do in high level teamsports, it's an approach that's severely lacking in League and or other eSports. He's giving Baus eyes and hands to interact in this new area he's unfamiliar with rather than just pointing out right and wrong. It sounds obvious on paper but much more difficult to execute in actuality.

Crazy insight from Bwipo. Baus creates perma tempo, but he also needs to know the potential plays it creates and voicing them more to his team. Whether they get denied or accepted. If he doesn't say it and they aren't paying attention to him, then he ends up reacting instead of acting on plays. Which is ALWAYS slower.
I dont expect instant improvements but i cant wait to see baus grow as a player. His whole playstyle is being upgraded ever since he joined the rats. Cant wait to see final form baus. Ive come to understand that theres more to just being individually good and being good at working with your team and using them to their advantage.
Bwipo's comments were really smart, because he didnt tell Baus how to play his own playstyle - he complimented it. Where he added value is how to use his playstle in a competitive setting. If Baus gets forced to play like every other pro top laner playing the same stale meta champs, i think he quits comp within a few months. Bwipo is teaching him how to play the way he enjoys but in a comp setting
Amazing work from the bwip. Awesome session!! His passion and knowledge are always very standout, and the way he framed this around Baus was honestly impressive.
It's like what BB said about learning to be a great player. The great players know how to carry. Carry as in use their lead and get their team to play around them and by doing so spread their lead to others. Baus needs to learn that.
In a weird way the controversy around Bwipo before Worlds made him a little more "popular" on the internet. Obviously people were hating a little, understandably in my opinion. This version of Bwipo is something I fully support. The guy is so knowledgeable (for me he is some sort of Jankos of top lane - yes Jankos is my idol and I admire his knowledge) and it's great to listen to someone like him. I personally learned a lot, even though I am miles away from his level. Thank you Baus&Bwipo
Even though it was originally bad press, once he smurfed on stage and acted nice in other public settings, he changed a lot of peoples minds while still being more looked at for his recent rants. This ended with him getting even more popular in a good way even now since he managed to turn his bad press around.
He's talking about getting coaching, not who the coach is. Bauss has a unique perspective on how the game should be played, and so it is difficult to get coached or to find a progression that works with how he perceives the game.
Only thing I wanted to mention is that I think that baus might not CURRENTLY have the confidence to make calls with comms. I’m not sure if it’s that or he’s hyper focused on his gameplay (which is totally understandable that’s the only way I can play the game at my best level). But I have to imagine that having a multi year long status by the general community as an “inter” might make him feel that he shouldn’t make calls because he doesn’t want to screw over his team. If that’s one of the reasons he’s not on comms as much, then I think stuff like this and other ways of giving him more confidence to call out more detailed comms could be massive. He’s got insane macro shit happening in his head and being able to relay that to his team would be a huge level up in my opinion. Really enjoyed watching this and big props to Bwipo (I think) for really supporting/encouraging that mental. Edit: rather than MAKING shotcalls, maybe the first more important step is just making sure he has the confidence to call out what he’s thinking in the moment more and the rest of the team can learn as they play together what works best.
its more like ppl like bwipo, LS, IWdom, they are hyper aware of macro and how exactly calculate the past present and future of every player by just glancing in 2 seconds at their items and experience.... and that might be a bit intimidating when he knows he doesn't even see the jungler coming to him even when it has been spotted in the map... and especially when Neme is 100% at that level, and the rest of the team is kindda close.. so Its natural he thought the coaching would come in that direction at first and he was quite clear "I dont know how to think like that, how to see that"
@ that’s super fair as well. It’s definitely a completely different world than he’s used to. I just think that the first step to getting him in that headspace is making him aware that he has the knowledge and should be confident in that, he just doesn’t really know how to apply that to stuff outside himself yet. This coaching did a great job with that
As a bronze player - I learned so much by watching this, and i think the main reason is that the coach is explaining in quite good detail why something works, anbd why it does not, and then he throws in the disparity of team vs soloq play... and that makes so much sense.
THAT'S MY FUKN TOP LANER BRO, Bwipo teaching Baus the special sauce is getting me so fukn hype for more games. Flyquest I'll see you at Worlds next year!!!
I am watching baus since Korea trip . Never in any conversation he was so locked in , you saw in this video " Real "Simon if you will . He actually took everything seriously and Props to Bwipo this was an amazing analyses! Druttut saying alot of shit how he is mechanically better and what not , that he only lost because he was getting 5 role challenger , because he was not sirius . In reality last time when he won he was in team with FUKING AGURIN AND NEMESIS.(baus was with azzap and MIdbeast (yeah?) People can hate on Agurin all they whant but he almost 1v9 vs LR. When Simon is not trolling for content he is actualy one of the best Gragas in the world and probably greatest voly and obviusly sion.
It's funny how a challenger player in solo queue is obviously very good but struggles to set up plays with the team even on voice comms. It's true for all of them Makes sense after all, in solo queue you play more self-centered because you can't always rely on your teammates so teamplay is a whole new world Good intervention by bwipo, pretty insightful stuff
He knows they're facing T1 in Redbull, this vod was from today... , He's just saying after the showmatch, they'll be back to playing against EMEA teams, not world champions team, so Baus can get away with more illegal plays
4:28 the realest shit ever. Sometimes being a good player is to understand your lane and your opponent and tell them to help you with anything. Nemesis did this alot. He always tell Velja whether they should take the fight in river or not.

It's like what BB said about learning to be a great player. The great players know how to carry. Carry as in use their lead and get their team to play around them and by doing so spread their lead to others. Baus needs to learn that.
this is actually like peak content. I know alot of pros like baus so I hope we can see some more stuff like this on his pro journey!
Wow, not that I didn’t already have a high opinion of Bwipo, but still really impressed with how he approached this. Not what I expected at all.
DAYUM bwipo so good man
Bwipo sounds like he is very good place now compare to when I heard some older clips with him, kudos to him. Massive respect.
He went through therapy
this Bwipo guy seems like a good guy with good game knowledge, I bet he would do great as a pro player!
I like this a lot, Bwipo did a great job showing some clear weaknesses and easy fixes that would fit Baus.
Wow, that Bwipo have some coach potential.
YES YES YES I LOVE THIS FUCKING TIMELINE
Idk how I ended in this timeline where Bwipo's giving comms to Baus, but I'm so glad it happened.
that was so wholesome, i loved it!
proplay baus getting coached by Bwipo before GTA 6, goated timeline.
Kudos to you, Baus, for embracing humility and being open to growth. Very cool.
That was fantastic, I can't wait to see the full roster well coordinated!
You can tell that "Thank you" at 35:31 was genuine. Actually reminded me of that time he got the recognition he deserved while playing in KR server.
Bwipo is likely genius level IQ. From the start when he assures Baus he is not here to change playstyle or champions, just so well communicated.
Man this felt so insightful. I actually believe now. If Baus is able to implement only half of what Bwipo offered the rats might actually stomp guys.
Bwipo Baus Neme Rekkles are my favorite players. Great to see this! He is such a knowledgable and smart guy.
Bwipo is 1000% a coach after his carrer. World class coach actually!
Really the peak of LoL rn. Loving this stuff
33:40 three manning golems was hilarious
Bro Bwipo is such a good coach wtf
Have always loved Bwipo, and he was definitely the best top of the West in this our year of 2024, great collab!
So nice of Baus to give an up and coming LoL player a chance
This was awesome, so glad it actually happened
The only top line guide u’ll ever need.
bwipo stonks going up
im now a bwipo fan
recently got into league and im so hooked already, this was awesome
Welcome!! 🎉 Sometimes this community is incredible, and sometimes it's a garbage heap. Stick around though, the good outweighs the bad. 👍
God I hope that Baus takes even 25% of the advise Bwipo gave :o
Now this is good educational content.
so hyped for future games
The world was not ready for post Bwipo Baus 💀
aint no way baus is saying he doesnt know who bwippo is when he is the only one who has made bause's playstyle work in pro
do you know what sarcasm is?
r/woosh
its called a yoke
if you mean 00:29, i think he said "i don't know if IT'S good or not". he meant the coaching session. not "i don't even know if he's good or not".
It's nice to learn the game at a higher level alongside Baus :)
THAT'S MY FUKN TOP LANER BRO, Bwipo teaching Baus the special sauce is getting me so fukn hype for more games. Flyquest I'll see you at Worlds next year!!!
Bwipo a legend
Baus's gragas is SOOO gnarly. completely agree. the stuff that he pulls on that champ is soooo fucking insane, even against very strong players.
It's funny how a challenger player in solo queue is obviously very good but struggles to set up plays with the team even on voice comms. It's true for all of them
Makes sense after all, in solo queue you play more self-centered because you can't always rely on your teammates so teamplay is a whole new world
Good intervention by bwipo, pretty insightful stuff
whole new respect for Bwipo !🙌
Bwipo, my favorite top laner, such a pleasure, the best are always humble.
are we watching the baus evolving to a real pro? cause i'm super hyped for that!
17:00 ya it's a bad play on paper but also well done lol. That's baus in a nutshell, good on coach for not trying to make him play like a robot
This is so exceptional
This is awesome !!!
Bwipo is actually so freaking likable in this.
How happy he is when he answers gis questions right hahahha
Easiest money Baus every made. Bwipo just talked for 50mins straight.
Baus lookin mighty handsome with the black shirt messy hair look
fr I'm flustered watching him
"you're not gonna play vs T1 for a while" does he know
he said "youre not gonna play against A t1 for awhile" he means the caliber of a team like t1, after they play vs t1 lmao
17:58 "If someone gets fked, they need to get paid."
- Bwipo's words of wisdom
Great watch
After taking Kiin to a Game 5 this year, Bwipo is still a certified G!
jackies watching this is like: who is this calm dude xdd
man i love bwipo
i think for the match against the french team it might be entertaining to include pov from costreamers like druttut
