My friend congratulations. You have a diamond in the rough and yes, that is a small pump eliminated. Get rid of it. Oh man, dude, you have so much potential. There, it's incredible. I wish I could. I wish you would sell it to me but I know you're gonna do something awesome with it. Enjoy it . I have 81F 100 3 02 automatic and i love it.
I just put a deposit on an 96 F150 on a car lot. It runs and drives. It’s in slightly better condition than yours but I have to see what things work and don’t work. It has 75k original miles. I’m excited about fixing it up. It’s amazing how long these trucks last.
I picked up a 86 F-150 4 x 4 extended cab paid 450 for the truck and another $50 to get home it has only 55,000 miles on it. A old lady used it for her farm truck only it's never seen Highway very little these little bullnose are getting hard to find 175,000 that's not bad on a little truck there's a lot of parts out there available for it they quite have not hit the market yet like the dent side 70s trucks and you definitely scored that for $200 can't wait to see what you going to do with it in the future and that is a smog pump delete it don't need it
That toolbox is worth more than $200. I just bought the EXACT same truck for $600 except mine is red on red, mine ran also, The Engine and trans is in decent shape but it needs a good cleaning and repaint, I'm not putting any chrome on it other than maybe a chrome air cleaner, the intake and valve colors I'm just going to paint Silver being. I'm going to lower mine as well, I have 2 buckets out of a 96 Mustang that I bought for some unknown reason a couple years ago so I'm just gonna dye them red and clean up the interior, Since it's an original Central Florida truck the paint is shot, I'm going throw a cheap medium silver paint job on the exterior, clean the steel wheels up and paint them and just build a good Daily driver/Cruise-in/Cars and coffee truck. The only question I have is if you or anyone else knows is that my engine block and heads are dark grey, is that the original color for the 86 302?
@@TheShopWorldWide yeah, I'm not generally a Ford guy so I honestly don't know but for $600 and I drove it home I'm not going to complain. I'm thinking I can put less than 3k into it and be done, there's no rust it's just the paint is toast and I don't really like red and the interior is in such good shape I don't see any sense in changing it so I need a color that goes with Red so it's either, Black, White or Silver so I'm going a Medium Silver.
@@TheREALOC1972 for a running driving vehicle anything under $1000 is AMAZING! When I was driving this home, I didn’t care if I totaled it. I loved the old feeling of driving it, all the switches and manual windows….. it was worth every penny…. Yours sounds like a solid truck to do a build on!
@@TheShopWorldWide Yep, but to be honest these Bull and Brick noses are becoming a hot build simply because of that, They are the last of "Cheap" and "Affordable" classic truck, you can find them all day long under 2 grand, mine has the dual tanks and I think while I have the bed off the frame to paint the cab I might fill in the front fuel door and change it to a single big tank and run new fuel lines.

Absolutely I love this truck! Nothing is better than a vehicle built to last.
Those 1980 to 1986 trucks are getting hard to find. Especially one that is not beat up or rusted out. I remember these trucks being brand new.

I really enjoy them, I have a 94 step side I’m going to be doing a build in very soon.

I’m not sure what’s the original color of the block and heads. Sound like you have an awesome build!!
