  • This "Boogsie": Sharpe arrangement placed second in Panorama 1996.
    This composition was done by Len "Boogsie" Sharpe and Alvin Daniel, and was another winning collaboration with calypsonian Denyse Plummer.

    Oh my god. Long time ago when this was filmed. In my opinion one of the worst arrangments Boogsie made in the last decades. Compared to other masterpieces by him this falls way of. Also the band doesn't play tight at all. But no wonder. Boogsie had max. a week instead of a month to do the tune and the band played a completly different tune for the prelims, arranged by Hadeed.......

      The 1st version by Halfas came 5th for prelims. This as you see and hear it placed 2nd in the Finals

      Boogies Phase II arrangements have a high standard. I know the story - in the timeframe he had, this is a fantastic arrangement. I have heard Halfas arrangement too, it’s an interesting piece of work which I enjoy listening to also. The song is a great composition
