Have you tried the new Randomizer for PE2? It works for Replay and Scavenger modes. The name kind of gives it away, random monsters (Except bosses), random initial weapon, shops, item drops/found and the chance to go far more hardcore by dissabling bullet boxes.

this is so great and cool game,[that was my first childhood game in ps1 when i was kid] i played it so many hours and days without sleeping or stopping.....
