I've heard that they are both the same hardware. Personally I prefer the for styling of the X15. The X15 also has a larger screen from what I can tell.
I actually think that Retroarch is pretty good, years ago it was definitely a pain in the arse, but now is much better and works perfectly fine, i prefer it far more than many standalone emulators personally.
sorry, that would take forever. All you need to know that it runs ALL 8bit and 16bit consoles including handhelds perfectly. PlayStation is 99% and Saturn is hit and miss. N64, Dreamcast and PSP games work fine but some games may need tweaks to be made to the emulator settings. Same as many Android devices.
The HDMI is not full-size HDMI so what do I need to connect this HDMI? Can you show us how to change the default launcher and have third party one startup as default as i can't seem to find this information?

Is there is a way where screen format can be stretched to its full for games for Dreamcast
Did you place your DC bios for Reicast in the external sd? And your games in the external sd, too?
Yes. The Bios was in the same folder as the Reicast emulator while the games were in a separate folder called DC.
Please make a video on that how to make phone calls using powkiddy x15
I don't know how to do that.
Minus only one analog stick sounds better than the powkiddy x18?
The prices are getting quite high just now £100 is probably a bit much , why didn't you play a few more android games on this so we could see what there like . The buttons are alway's cheap on these devices and probably liable to break, does it come with a screen protector?
It comes w a screen protector
@@ajones9 ok thanks , I'll wait till the price comes down a bit
hello can you help me?
do you know how to set the keys and the touchscreen?
thanks
Has anyone tried external controllers through the USB? I'm interested in the run-of-the-mill console controllers, but also the Retrobit Saturn/Megadrive pads...
i don't understand the lag complaint. To one of the wired controls of the 8-bit era this has always existed. For this very reason, SuperMario Bros. 1 uses the edge rule when jumping.
Because everyone in the modern age is a super precise Ninja with lightning reflexes or so they seem. Sometimes lag can be an issue but in most cases it isn't. People just like to bang on about lag these days.
Almost perfect, but why no second analog? Also why not a regular DPad?
How do you download all those emulators? Please explain, I'm not very tech savvy at all.
Thank you
Great video
Thanks!
Retro Core you are welcome
They needed to put a D pad and two analogs
Get the Powkiddy X18 for that
Hey RetroCore loooong time fan here. Just wanna say THANKS a Million for showing us a cool and wooonderful side of Japan (Matt Hardy Reference)....AAAnywho my question concerns this console. I have tried like 5 versions of Yaba sanshiro.... Any chance you can tell me what version you are using am I seeing 3.1.0? Cuz I tried like 3.1.1 and that still didnt work along with newer versions? Also is there a (easy version) to set up or certain one for mame. I noticed on this device with the weird analog down and D pad up the only emulator that gives me a problem is MAME? even sega dreamcast isnt bad to set up... Sorry rambling please version of yaba sanshiro and version of Mame which you think is best for this system? Again Thank you a million for being ANTI Shill and really giving your opinion and showing the cool rides on the bike. Much Love from the USA!! Mutation Nation; Cadillacs and Dinosaurs; Heavy Smash; Any Rampage; Hachoo; Cotton cant forget Cotton ohh yea I wanna play cotton boomeRang too!! best ONE FOR LIFFFE!!
I just bough one of these devices and I would like to know how easy is it to add your own roms from MAME, NDS, SNES, etc directly on to the SD card? Any help would be appreciated.
What sd cards did thay have big ones
Seems to be more powerful than the X18, but the buttons are a total deal breaker for me. Despite the X18 being weaker, I'd still opt for it because of the dual analogs an actual d-pad.
How did you get the X15 to play on the TV, mine wont do it and Im getting very angry at it. Please help. thanks
You need to install a new firmware. Search the net for RG-350M updated firmware.
Hi Retro Core, grettings from Brazil. Is X15 better than X18? This machine is quite Nice and i'm confuse about which one is The Best option to buy. Thanks in advanced
Hard to tell how good the emulation really is since so very few of you actually think to turn on FPS if available.
Not all emulators let you display the FPS.
Hi can u put a list on which Games & Systems you tried okay showing us it running but what was it running?
sorry, that would take forever.
I'll be publishing an update video about this today which will answer your questions 👍
@@RetroCore Did you upload the video as I don't see it?
That looks really good indeed. Nice to see I can add control pads, as the button quality and layout seems just in the average of what they produce. Will Thunder Force V run smoothly on the Saturn emu?
I've not tried that. It shod run as well as Dynamite Deka did I would imagine.
Which version of Retroarch is used? I wanna play Wii / GameCube on it.
This can not run Wii or Game Cube. It isn't powerful enough.
Does it even have enough buttons for N64? The lack of a right thumb is disappointing, but the four button "d-pad" is a deal breaker.
background music?
Hey Retro Core! @ 2:34 you said you went to your PC and downloaded App what? What is that?
The app I showed. Its called Aptoide
I like cameras on handhelds but they still feel out of place sometimes games only content except books and comics books but a camera feature is different screen savers and wallpapers content is cool to movies are ok to in stead of forcing hi end tech down a kids throat regular toys are better games are for everyone but some are meat to be for 7- and older not all but a good many
A good review of what looks to be a fairly impressive handheld. Did you try it with any USB controllers, and if so did they work?
I'll do that in a follow up video.
*Could you make an instruction on how to install all the emulators that you have + how to download games yourself?*
I bought a console but I can't figure it out because I have an iPhone, Android never existed.
I'm afraid I can't do that. Just don't have the time. Search Google on how to side load an app on to an Android device.
Battery life seems crud. The battery percentage went from 98% to 63% in 1 hour. (Go to 3:03 mark and 15:15 in the video to see for yourself)
It normally lasts around 4 hours of continuous use. This wasn't fully charged when start off so I'm not sure why it was even showing 98%. I reckon the battery indicator is off.
This one looks tempting... No power brick might be a negative point for some people. I certainly want one included. Oh well, it's not that expensive anyways.
To be fair, we all have USB power bricks now. We can also charge this via any USB port.
Hi Mark, I wonder if this device can run 'emuelec'?
No idea. I've never heard or even know what that is.
Retro Core that’s your new homework my friend 😉 you’re welcome in advance!
Emuelec only support Amlogic chipsets like S905, S922 etc so no, it cannot run on this.
@@acejon2162 Thanks for that, It would have been sweet if it did tho.
i tried to install 2k20 on this device but it can not run, anyone know how to make it playable on this device?
Still not sure if i should get the x15 or the x18 instead :S
Hmm, I think this has the more comfortable feel to it.
How about battery performance? Where can you buy extra battery?
Battery last about 4 hours
@@RetroCore is the battery easy to replace?
can you help me i just got mine but when I try install apk it does not open the apk and does not download. Can you help me. I have ticked unknown sources turn on. HELP
I don't know what to tell you as I don't know how you are installing the apk. This is what I did.
Us a PC to download the apk
Put the apk on to a micro SD card and then copy the apk over to the console.
Make sure "Install from unknown sources" is on.
and then you should be able to install the apk. If that fails just download Aptoide, install that in the way mentioned above. Then just download your games and apps via Aptoide.
If that doesn't work, I don't know what else you can do.
@@RetroCore Hi do you know how to put in this in android recovery mode as I am stuck on boot loop. DONT INSTALL GOOLE PLAY STORE IT WILL PUT YOU IN BOOT LOOP! I AM STUCK AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME HOW TO FACTORY WIPE THIS INSIDE OF ANDROID RECOVERY MODE PLEASE HELP
Looks cool and all for the $$$ but what about legality of the games and software? (just curious on that considering)
The device doesn't come with games. You need to add your own. All the games I showed I own the originals off besides Propeller Arena since that was never officially released.
Man, that D pad is the turd in the punch bowl.
Hi Retro Core, could we use a wireless (Bluetooth) game controller/s to connect to Powkiddy X15, while the Powkiddy is connected to the TV via HDMI cable? Thanks
Sure, as long as the Bluetooth works on the X15. That's something I didn't try though.
I'll make a follow up video to answer the many questions.
Very nice Sir!
Hope I get mine soon.. it has been in transit from china to USA for almost 50 days now..
50 days? Wow, you should get it soon I hope.
@@RetroCore I hope so too
@@ajones9 hello did you already get it??
@@kstwst19 I had to buy it from another website since aliexpress sent to the wrong address. So I did get it from an other online store.. The battery runs down super fast. I'm not sure if it is because I flashed it or not.
@@ajones9 ohh thanks for answering because i want to buy one for myself for adding it on my Handheld Collection and for playing it too but you said the baterry go down fast and i also noticed it on the video someone commented it that in the video in the start its 90% and in only 1 hour its only 60% so i think i will just gonna buy it hehehe thanks for answering
Out of curiosity - does it have issues with heating after longer (about 1 hour) usage? And how does look like battery life? Those big-screen handhelds with Android are usually not so great with their battery life.
I never had any heat issues. My Xaomi Mi Note 10 which is quite a powerful phone gets much warmer than this device.
Battery lasts about 5 to 6 hours but it depends upon what you are playing.
Can I use my Playstation 3/4 or Xbox360 Arcade Sticks on the thing?
would be cool to know thanks mark
No idea. If they work on Android phones then they'll work on this.
Is the powerkiddy x18 better? They both cost around the same.
I think the X15 is better due to its form factor.
You cant just USB connect it to the PC and directly transfer the games you want into it?? Do you HAVE to download that App to get the new games?
If you can get the APK files then sure, you can do that. Atpoide doesn't work that way though. You need to download the APKs through the app.
@@RetroCore I just got my Cool Baby X9 today and spent the last 6 hours going through and deleting games and putting good ones on. It works great!! The buttons are jenky but hey, its a Chinese knockoff LOL!!
Which one should I get the powkiddy x18 or x15??? Can anyone suggest?
Depends upon which form factor you like the best. For me the X15.
Only 60 to 70 bucks? I'm seeing it for anywhere between 80 to 100 myself. Where did you see it for only 60? It's a full 100 at the link in the description. Has the price skyrocketed or something since this video dropped? I really, really hate when the Chinese do that crap....
Yep, the price has shot up. It was going for 70 USD whenI received this about 3 weeks ago. It's a shame it has gone up in price. Still, 100USD isn't too crazy.
@@RetroCore Yeah its not bad, but I can't support that sort of price gouging, although I'd be crazy to expect anything else from Chinese retailers. They do this sort of thing all the time, trying their best to squeeze every cent out of us Americans eager to get our hands on cheap electronics.
Although not so cheap these days. They fail to realize that the cheap pricing was what drew us to their stuff in the first place. When prices start getting closer to what our own products cost that are being sold by our own shops & retailers, it ends up not being worth it anymore.
If the price ever drops back down to 80 or so then I'll grab one, but not a moment sooner.
@@skins4thewin yeah man how can this compete with those countless options at the store... What stores do you have lmao. I can't even get a Bluetooth controller for a phone these days at a store.
@@RetroCore where To find at 70usd please??
with a Dreamcast and MegaDrive in it,.. TAKE MY MONEY!
What kind of phone do you have
Does Reset frontend work for it
Very nice device👍
Retroarch is much better these days, this coming from someone who hated it for years and swore by those .emu apps (which are still great, but Retroarch has caught up).
Not for me. I'd load a core then try to load a game but most of the time nothing happened or it would force me to use a "recommended" core unrelated to the rom. A right pain.
@@RetroCore I guess it's still not the most user-friendly, but very good when it's set up properly.
Hey, plz help! My powkiddy dosnt support ps console at all, its just crush at the start.. can i do something?
Make sure you are using the correct type of PlayStation game image. Normally it dould be a Bin and Cue file.
Retro Core thanks for ur amswer. It should be on the options of the game?
