Jimin was always affected by hate, He is one of those who receives the most hate.
With this song he frees himself from all that, even if it hurts, he will never hide again, he is now an adult, he has more experience and is stronger.
The group is still together, they love being a part of BTS, they just can't be together for a while and they also want to give each other space for their projects like always but this time they can do it right.
Bts are still together they are just on a bit of a break for thier mandatory military enlistment they have to do. But till the rest of them go in they will be doing solo stuff for now

Well I liked and shared, so my part is done!
I think it is more commentary on the kpop idol system and while he says kudos to his past self, he wants to be free of limitations imposed on him as an idol, hate/ criticism he has faced and his doubts. He is basically asking himself to set himself free from all that (hence the call and response with the voice modulation). In the final verse, he is saying he is here as a solo artist, starting out fresh withouth any of that bearing him down. That is how I understood it.

bts members have always done solos but this time it's being promoted due to their chapter 2 era
Yeah I heard, some are away in the military… Can’t wait till they get back!
BTS members do have solo tracks both within and outside of BTS, the 3 rappers being the most prolific.
It is just that this is Jimin's first album. His main single release is this Friday 24/03, this was a pre-release!💜

@@Xtreme4Life it’s definitely worth the wait to save up for their upcoming world tours as a group in the future but also worth attending each member solo tours as well! They have so much music albums already released and it just keeps getting bigger and better!
