I can only hope that all Honda Techs and service advisors in my city of Ottawa Canada do the same excellent work you do. Hope they are watching because clients like myself do watch your videos
This failure reminds me of some Ford 4cyl. EcoBoost engines (1.5L, 1.6L, 2.0L) that had the slit cut between cylinder walls. They have since fixed that 2020 and newer for the 2.0L.
Other than not buying one, what is the best way to avoid this? More frequent oil changes, coolant changes? Does the coolant get acidic and eat away at the gasket?
5:49 so I’m not being sarcastic whatsoever. I am not a mechanic. I’m a retired firefighter. I don’t even drive a Honda. I drive a ram 2500 but I truly like watching the videos and I’m enlightened by them each time I watch. With that preference out the way? If a small dust particle could make a difference doesn’t using a six instead of a seven also give a false read. Just asking again curious you are the professional, in the arena, not me.
Great content, as always! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Is anyone aware if there have been any improvements in more recently built 1.5t? I've been eyeing a 25 Civic Si, but if it has the same affliction I might just hold off for now.
If yours is out of warranty, try using the Cylinder Head Stud Kit for Honda from ARP. They are stronger than stock. Avoiding prolong high revs is also a good idea.
I’ve heard of a few 2.0T with this issue. Just nowhere near the amount of the 1.5T. I have a 2.0t Accord, and I do worry about it as there have been a few to start having the issue. Hopefully it holds out!

Small displacement engines coupled with turbos are just asking for trouble.
lolwut?
This is making me want to trade in my accord. Is there anyway of preventing this? I used premium gas and change my oil every 4000 miles.
You've done what you could do , the 1.5 it's just a bad design . Call hybrid

What happened to honda 😢
The same thing that ruins most companies - investors.
Any problems on 2.0 turbo?

Ford had same issues
whats the cost of this huge job? thats a bad design. turbo doesn’t help with the higher compression than non turbo.
Certain years of Fords 2.0 ecoboost had the exact same issue. Mind-bogglingly dumb design.
1st good work
simBaaaaaaaa
Are you familiar with creators like you that work on Hyundai/Kia? :)
