"Rumors" is a comedy that takes place in Sneden's Landing, New York, at the upper-class home of the Deputy Mayor. ​ The story unfolds during a glamorous dinner party hosted by Charlie and Myra Brock to celebrate their tenth anniversary. ​ However, before the party can even begin, everything goes wrong. ​
A gun goes off, the hostess disappears, and the help is missing. ​ As the chaos ensues, the characters go to great lengths to keep what appears to be a scandal under wraps. ​ The play explores the fragility of social structures and the masks people wear in society. ​ It delves into the themes of perception versus reality, friendship, loyalty, and the bonds that unite us in times of crisis.
