I'm trying to get special characters but the instructions say to press the CA/AMTTEND button but this is also the buttom that ends the line being programmed. How do I get @, # etc. without ending the line please?

by doing a z report daily can i go back to yesterday's report and print again. i had a paper jam and now i need the sales from yesterday. can anything be done? i have the casio se s10
if you have already done a z report then you cannot do another one. But if you deduct the grand total from the latest one and the old one you will have your amount from the z report in between.
How do you setup a name on a department? I don't want a price; but I want it so, Instead of "Dept01" it says "Pick N Mix" and I enter in the price. Is that possible?

You don`t remove the message, you simply write over the message whenever you program the line. If you want nothing you can either use spaces or revert to programming the machine back to Journal mode. ( see other video)

Freud tobya This budget model does not have the facility of switching off the paper. But you can set the printout for journal. This journal setting will print everything smaller and the paper lasts a long longer this way.

The easiest way to clear everything and start again is to just remove batteries, wait 1/2 hour. This will reset machine back to zero and just type away again but a little slower so you don`t make the same mistake.
mamzy2 remove the batteries, unplug from main plug and wait a few hours for the machine to reset itself. After this your choose the language from the details on the printer receipt message
You can change the currency symbol, only a euro or a . symbol. if you are getting a euro symbol The machine is printing a EURO symbol PGM mode > 3 > SUB TOTAL > 2422 > SUBTOTAL > 0 > CASH amount tendered

sounds like you have edited the next line, ie you've edited line 1 but line 2. you can either edit the lines further down or factory reset the machine (to clear all programming and reports) by removing from mains power, remove 2 x aa batteries and then leave for 10mins.plug back in and you will go through the original set up
the easiest way is to do a master reset. remove the 2 x AA batteries, unplug from mains power. leave for 5 minutes, then plug back in and it will be reset

if you have the casio SEG1 then you cannot edit the names of the departments - you can add a preset price though.

no you dont. sounds like you dont have the 2 x AA batteries in the machine or they are flat.

look at pages 37 & 38, these pages allow you to change the settings of how the machine works. Page 38, see top right "Clerk assignment system"

if there is no message at all then you have it in journal mode. please change it to receipt mode
SEG1 no print but correct paper loading help
does the paper feed out but blank? as you cannot turn off the printer on the SEG1

What does E94 mean?
i dont believe the casio SEG1 has an error code of E94. some of the older models used to display E94 when there is a paper jam
