Thank you or teaching me how to do points of sale. I am about to have a book signing, and need to know how to work this beautiful machine.
I’m trying to set up my moms but need help. When it comes to ringing up. the total will be 5.35 and cash 6.00 but will say change is 11.35. how in the world do I fix that?

Nice video. I was just helping my friend with one of these and it was quite a chore, the chore was mostly in typing the descriptions of the items and the receipt header or whatever its called. One thing I don't get is why can't this machine have an extra option to plug into a computer so we can type everything there? Seems obvious to me.
it is obvious, but this is the basic entry level machine with limited functions. to have a machine with you can program on a PC then the price goes up. thanks

No. this is the most basic register available. you are unable to add a scanner or even rename products. you would need to look at SRS500 for scanning machines

StormyHotWolf88 To set the clerk numbers, turn the PGM key to the PGM mode, after that, enter 3 subtotal then enter the code 0622 subtotal, the enter a 4-digit code (1234 etc...), press ca/amt tend then subtotal. Press c then go back to the reg position. To log in you enter your clerk number (1-8) and then CLK# button, to sign out enter 0 and press CLK# button. I hope this helps!
cash registers do not inergrate with card machines. you would run the card machine independantly, ie you would key in the amount on the card machine and get the customer to enter their pin / contactless
are you using the PLU feature? there isnt a price check feature on the SEG1 unfortunetly, the only way is to sell the PLU as normal and then do a error correct if not required

you can run a periodic sale (z2) by turning the key to Z mode then typing in [1] [0] [ CA/AMT /TEND] - this will give you a report since the last time this report was ran

Besides the batteries that supply the memory, is this register able to be powered with a battery pack if no wall outlet is available?

E10 is just till roll error. please ensure you have a till roll in and the platern arm is pressed down

What if it’s sales tax on an item how would you do that
you should set up the tax rates intitally - ie tax 1 = 0%, tax 2 = 20%. then you can assign the tax rate to either the department or PLU

yes. you need to set up your tax rates first - then assign the correct tax to each department

the machine doesnt actually print the currency symbol, so in theory you can use the machine in any currency
