I don`t think there`s ever been another human being who could do vocally what this young man can. He is his own level of artistry, there`s no one getting even close. His breath and vocal control in every register, the level of technical skill is like no other singer ever.

Dimash has millions of fans around the world. He became known by doing the Singer show. The first show he sang S.O.S. Next morning they woke him up and said you are famous. So happy to see Dimash being spread among Americans. I live in Florida and I’m 68 and he is the best vocalist today. Hands down. Historically Dimash will be the king of Vocals. I discovered Dimash during the pandemic. So when he finally had a concert in Kazakhstan I flew from the US the see him. Now I will be flying to Armenia and Turkey for his next two concerts. It's absolutely worth it, what a privilege it is to hear his music live!

Dimash was a child prodigy who began piano & vocal training at age 5. He was about 22 in this performance and is now 28 I believe. He has trained the God-given gift of his unique voice to change the boundaries of music. Dimash is an independent singer. He has his own production company and to date he has not signed with any major entertainment company. So he doesn't have a big company to promote him on radio and television shows in the West. He has said many times that he prefers to remain free to sing whatever he wants however he wants, that his creative freedom must be fully guaranteed in any commercial arrangement. And it's that creative freedom that makes Dimash turn every song he sings into HIS song like he did here with "Hello". Hug from Brazil!

I enjoyed watching you and your wife react to "Hello" and appreciate the artistry and uniqueness of Dimash.Thanks for your reactions and support of Dimash. It will help him a lot. Dimash had one concert in New York. The pandemic delayed his world tour for two years but has been finally able to do more concerts and become well known in many other countries. Dimash has had 20 + years of vocal training and music study and I think has completed his doctorate. This advanced study has focused on composition classical and pop music. He will soon begin an internship in Directing, for which he was awarded a scholarship, at the LA branch of the famed New York Academy of Film. Kudos for Dimash as he develops is creativity and artistry even further. I recommend you watch his Almaty concert which is on UA-cam in three parts. In part 3, Dimash does a live performance of "Story of One Sky" in which he sings with every ounce of his being and uniquely debuts his first composition in Spanish called "El Amor En Ti". His new movie video called "Together" is coming out on March Of 22nd and has a concert soon after in Malaysia. I have to listen to Dimash every day, especially when I want to go above the fray of greed, divisiveness and violence to a realm of beauty, creativity, kindness, unity, harmony and peace. Also listen to "Love is Like a Dream", "Stranger", "Ikanaide," and "Above Endless Dimensions". There are compilations of Dimash's performances in the "I Am Singer" contest on You Tube also.

I am 78 years old and familiar with singers in all genres over the last 100 years and I have never heard anything like Dimash - he is by any measure the best singer in the world. I am so excited now as I just bought tickets for my wife and I for the Dimash concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in June. i told myself a couple of years ago that if Dimash ever comes close to me in a concert, I want to be there, come what may. I live in Thailand so I am waiting for June to come as soon as it can! He won't be singing "Hello" again as Lionel Ritchie has forbidden him to do so. Look forward to hearing more of your reactions from Dimash - keep them coming - doesn't really matter which one, they are all mind benders!
Ritchie didn't forbid him from singing it. Hunan TV didn't get a license for this Hello performance and I think that scotched future performances.
@@PoubelleKansas you have misquoted me slightly. I said about singing it AGAIN - for whatever reason, that maybe the one you stated. But it looks very likely that Lionel Ritchie did forbid it arising from having no licence and therefore my original statement stands.
@@oddviews Weird, because I had read one commenter some time back who said Lionel enjoyed the performance of Dimash. Whether D can continue to sing the song probably depends on whether he has licensed rights to perform it (under something like a license from ASCAP) or if he just had a single-use permission from Lionel's "company." Hunan dropped the ball with Hello because they did not get a venue license for the performance.
Copyright law (under which such things fall) varies a bit from country to country but there are some international agreements as well. In any case, I agree: it's too bad we haven't heard Dimash do this (or Opera 2, e.g.) in other settings. The reason probably has something to do with licensing/permissions.
Also, I don't know to what extent the writer of a song can actually keep others from performing it. Rights to license performances have almost always been signed over to management firms like Sony and RCA. "Do-not-sing" commands would be discriminatory and clearly illegal under equal-access statutes. There have been efforts in recent years, for instance, to keep certain US politicians from using particular songs in campaigns, but because the songs were available under license, all that could be said was, "Hey! We don't like your politics so stop using our song." No legal weight behind such a thing, though.
The folks at Hunan TV, who are quick to slap UA-cam reactors with copyright violations, are themselves guilty of the same crime. You see, in the US (and this would apply to any songs under license to groups like ASCAP), it is the venue, not the performing artist, who must secure the right to use someone else's songs in a performance. So, when Dimash did Opera 2, Hunan was responsible for getting the rights. This happened again when Dimash participated in the medley of Queen hits on Singer a few years ago. Hunan was notified by Sony (who holds the rights to Queen's music) that they were in violation of international protocols (though how much importance the Chinese attach to this is in doubt; they are notorious for disobeying property rights). You can read this article for more about that: www.sixthtone.com/news/1003809/hunan-tv-show-accused-of-illegally-airing-queen-songs I don't know why, unless it's part of an agreed-upon punishment from ASCAP (who re-signed with Ritchie in 2016) and its Russian counterpart RAO, that Dimash no longer sings Hello and Opera 2. The license holders might have veto power of some sort. I imagine there's been an uptick in people watching the original of Hello and for that Lionel should be grateful!

I searched on the internet for ANYTHING about Lionel asking Dimash to not sing it again- and found nothing! No article, no interview, no video, nothing. My guess is like the comments above, that Lionel liked Dimash’s version, but the company in charge of copyright wasn’t consulted. Dimash could probably sing it again if protocols were followed. When I worked as production manager for an orchestra we had to pay for the rights to perform songs due to copyright/ownership of the music. ❤ peace ❤️ Commenters need to stop saying that Lionel “forbade” Dimash to sing it again. It’s wrong, and makes Lionel look spiteful and petty. Probably not true, and Dimash would not like lies to be spread.

He always wants to inject something special into his songs for the listener, whether it be some high runs (melismas), Eastern style singing, powerful belting, delicate breathy vocals, deep full baritone or high soaring soprano. He has so much training in singing technique, different types of music and in music composition that he has a really big tool box at his disposal. The longer you listen to his music the more you will hear, and this will include every different genres, from classical operatic style, songs from musicals, ballads, rap, rock, jazz, pop, ethnic traditional, anthems, film themes, game soundracks and much more. He will introduce different styles all in one song if he wants to, sometimes changing style line to line or word to word. It may sound messy to talk about it but when you hear it (with your listening ears on) you can pick out all the little things he is doing one after the other that perfectly mesh together into a stunningly beautiful whole. Dimash has a huge following all over the world. He has only done one concert in the U.S. in New York. Unfortunately, he is not played on the radio, so a lot of people do not know about him. Which is so disappointing. Just like KPoP from South Korea. It is huge in the U.S. among the people who follow it. I think what they are doing with music, videos, live shows, etc. is not being done at all by any artist here. With the exception of a very few, I don't think we have many good artists here at the moment, it all more or less sounds the same. Dimash is very famous in Kazakhstan, China, Russia and other Asian and post Soviet countries. But he wasn't promoted on the west as much. He did have a sold out concert in NY in 2019 at Barclays center. Full arena almost without any promotion. Fans flew to NY from many countries.

Dimash is in LA at the moment and talking to top music people. So hopefully lots will come out of this. Dimash hasn’t signed with any US people as he wants to control his own path, not to be told what he should sing etc. he has great integrity. It is not all about the money for him.

Like in many other arrangements, Dimash melds sacred music traditions of different cultures and ages into something uniquely his own. In this piece, for example, you hear Turkic throat singing - the ancient song of the steppes - creating the foundation while Dimash’s melismas soar high above it. The music of ancient cultures often used chants, overtone singing, and melismatic techniques to induce a hypnotic trance in the listener. Dimash is not only aware of the power of music to alter one’s state of consciousness, he wields this power masterfully but with great respect, like a shaman using his voice, body, and instrumentation to transport the listeners to a higher plane of existence. His friend since his teenage years, Erlan Bekchurin, is a brilliant arranger and is also steeped in Kazakh folklore. Together they create magic. The flute is a traditional Qazaq flute called a sybyzgy. Dimash often incorporates traditional Kazakh instruments into his songs. Also, for those who may not already know, he sings “I love you” in three different languages. First in English, then twice in Mandarin, “wo ai ni” and at the end, in Qazaq, “men seni suyemin.” What he whispers at the very end is “fei chang gan xie” which is thank you very much in Mandarin.

I came across Dimash about 3 years ago and I’ve listened to him multiple times every day during the 3 years since then. I am totally addicted to him!
Dimash competed in this competition in the year before (2017). In 2018 he was invited to sing in the final episode as a guest and this is the performance he blessed us with! I don’t know what you are going to say about his latest performances, if you think he was good in 2017/18! He’s incredible today!

Well, I don't mean to say anything wrong about Lionel Ritchie, cause I like "some" of his music, but he said he doesn't want Dimash doing his song any more, just like another artist, Vitas, said. I think if someone sang one of my songs, it would be a tribute, and that is how it should be taken. As a compliment. I don't think that was very nice to say. As far as I've heard, Lionel had nothing personal against Dimash, he even liked how he changed the song, the problem was with the show not getting the right copyright permission or whatever it's called. I think with Vitas it might have been a bit different, but the same thing applied, it was more to do with copyright and the show rather than anything personal against Dimash himself.

Sorry Susana but what you say is not totally true..Yes is also a problem of copyright with I'm singer of hunan tv,but is not only this,is much more,is a problem of jealousy and ego of Vitas and Lionel Richie..In fact these 2 forbade directly Dimash to sing Opera 2 and Hello again..In total contrast to 2 nice and kind people like Lara Fabian and Brian May who complimented Dimash on his epic and amazing versions of the songs Adagio and The show must go on..If i were a singer I would be honored and happy if a phenomenal and prodigious singer/artist like Dimash sang my songs

Dimash has a tone of voice that wraps you like a warm blanket. He has this gift of piercing your soul like no other artist can. Besides being a unique performer, he is probably the most humble and down to earth artist I have ever seen. I discovered this artist 4 years ago and I started looking on the Internet for everything there was about him. I have seen almost all of his performances and none have disappointed me. He always manages to surprise me.
You'll be happy to know that he's currently in Los Angeles working with some great songwriters and producers, who I hope will give him more exposure.
I dream of the day when he will do a concert in the United States, I will be there for sure.
You should react to what he did after the singer contest in China.
I suggest you see Stranger 2021, you will be able to see how much he continues to improve his vocal register and his great creativity will blow your mind. Thank you to continue to react on Dimash , he deserves more exposure in America.

I saw a reaction to SOS yesterday, and the reactor said that he was impressed with the range. But he didn't feel emotionally touched at all... 😳😳 I had tears in my eyes, but he felt nothing. And he didn't mean to be rude or anything. He just didn't feel it...

My favorite is "SOS". It was his signature song when first coming out. You will get a better view of his range. It's the hardest French song for anyone to sing. He sounds like an Angel!
