My wife and I recently backpacked 140 miles across the Eastern Sierra in California. We brought along a Tenkara rod and a handful of flies. We wanted to thank you for this killer recipe. Your Reaper Midge in size 14 outfished all other patterns by a very large margin. These high alpine- lake and creek Golden's, Brookie's and Rainbow's could not resist this pattern. At the time of tying we did not have purple so we substituted with red thread. Thank you for this great recipe!!

You and I are the only ones I've seen that fold our flash. Have had the same hank of flash for 15 years, and I use it on most flies.

Great looking midge pattern 👌 I'm living In the uk but find the capes and saddles to be not up to standard with regards to them being too stiff ! This as I'm sure your aware of causes the tippet to twist . Where do you purchase your capes from as that grizzle hackle looks the bomb !!

Hi.. Really love your channel and hope you keep the videos coming. I fish rivers mostly here in Ireland and use mostly small nymphs and very small dries. Im hoping to start tying my own flies and was wondering what kind of bobbin holders you would recommend for tying small flies?

Hi, great intro and videography. I subscribed a while ago and it's the first top water fly I've seen you tie. I love the purple effect of the flashabou also. I started using it to match the throat color on white perch in my favorite lake when the walleye we're eating them many years ago. I also like the way the ice dub glows through the hackle on you fly. Thanks for the tip on the Krystal flash. That stuff can be a pain for me to use. Now if you tied a spinner wing with that how would you do it? Thanks, looking forward to more diversity in your posts, but I like everything so far, you're an excellent tyer as well as a video producer. 👍
