I will forever cry over the fact that we don't have an animated series about the core four. Seriously, there's so much potential for awesome stories to be told there. 😢
Gotta Represent That 90s Coolness! Darker colors and shading, huge hands and feet, and some questionable costumes. I loved the YJ show to the moon but i was always hesitant to check out the comics when i heard they were not quite as dark or intricate as the TV Show. I'm so used to the more gritty, adult stuff that it can be hard for me to check out stuff aimed towards a younger audience, once i get past that resistance though i usually find a great sense of earnestness and adventure that is sometimes lost in the more adult material. I'll have to make a note to give this one a try as i have faith in Peter David as a writer and the art reminds me of Ultimate Spider-Man.
I am a huge DC person and young justice is one of my favorites! Collect them while you can. Volumes 1,2 and 3. Volume 2 is low print so it’s hard to find them all but trust me get them all now cuz they will become very popular at some point. Young justice is amazing tbh.
@@UltimateChance if I were to make a Young Justice series, I’d merge the comics with the show as inspiration, I’d also add Sideways to the team and as a reason why Impulse came back to the past.
I've only ever read issue #2, because that seems to be the only issue I've ever found, but I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed their appearances in Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E., the original Stargirl comic book series. Their interaction with Courtney was pretty great.
@@UltimateChance I actually didn't know there was an omnibus coming out. I'm so completely out of touch on collected editions as a whole that I have no idea what's coming out or what has come out. Definitely something worth checking into.
Loved Young Justice! It was funny and had a sort of playful tone. Believe it or not, it wasn’t always easy to find that kind of tone in comic books of the 1990s. I even like Young Justice more than Johns’ Teen Titans. But then, I thought characters like Bart and Kon got made more derivative of their mentors or predecessors in that run.
Sorry for the babble but, kind of related. When I was in my teens I bought the first volume of the new 52s Nightwing. It wasn't really what I was looking for and looking back had put me off getting any more. However Dick Grayson is one of my favourite DC characters. I'm honestly up for reading anything Young justice / Robin / Teen Titans / Nightwing or even others I don't know about. I'm just after a good story with him doing his thing. So, was just wondering, what are some great Dick Grayson stories?
No worries, can always share comments or ask. I am really digging the Current Nightwing by Tom Taylor, and the OG series from both Dixon and Devin Grayson are also some good stuff. I also really enjoy "Outsiders" as a darker take. I made a video too if want to check it out titled "Where To Start Comics: Nightwing" to find some more stories out there ^_^
Holy smokes, Batman! That sure was a fast reply. I thought you'd have done a video on it, to be honest. I'll make sure to check those out, man. Thanks for the recommendations :D

I like it when not every comic storyline has to always be dark, gritty, and extreme. Sometimes it can be fun, optimistic, and hopeful.
Agreed!
I love the young justice comics they are really awesome and badass
Glad ya dig it!
@@UltimateChance indeed same here as well :).

For sure worth checking out even if just the first volume or 2. Uneven but enjoyable throwback!

Honestly I think young justice aged very well, while reading there were some issue I think could have totally been written today.
@@SerialAnkleBiter agreed. Still some great stuff!
Both the Young Justice Comic and the Show are such great pieces of DC Media/Comics
We need more!

I'd be down for that!

I actually liked Young Justice more than TT too. Glad I'm not the only one.
First comic run I followed from its start all the way to the end. Loved it!
Glad you dug it!
I have had to explain ti my friends that i avsolutely adore young justice because it is the far funnier teen superhero team
