Hell yes the JHO experience! I also grew up with a watching Jimmy sitting next to my dad on the couch and just listening to my talking to the TV and saying see son that's how you catches just like I was telling you, now watch what he's doing so you can get better too. We would be eating some type of fish he had caught crappie, sauger, walleye, sauger, catfish, etc... it's some of my best memories as a child besides being on the water with him. I only had a VERY short time with him, by the time I was 9 year's old he was gone and out of my life. But the love for dangling still stays and carries on today. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us LFG, some us really enjoy it and appreciate more than you know 😊, legit tears on this of the screen from the good memories 😊.

I’ve been watching Jimmy and his wife for a while now interacting with the deer on their property. It’s such a cool thing having wildlife on your own property like that. I have a few deer on my tiny 2 acres that like to eat pears from the pear tree in the back yard during the summer.

Like you, I grew up and was inspired by the likes of Jimmy Houston, Orlando Wilson, Hank Parker, Roland Martin, and Bill Dance. I was lucky enough to have shaken his hand once as a kid in the 80's at a fishing show at a "Grandpa Pigeons" store.. Still have the old theme songs memorized and you'll often find me singing one or two of those themes when packing up to go to the lake for the day. Its so great to have most of them here on UA-cam still doing great content within the industry, teaching us old dogs new tricks. Been loving watching Roland's son Scott Martin follow in his Dad foot steps here on UA-cam and on the BM Elite series, seeking out that Classic for the family. Also very impressed with Scott's daughter Hilary who is also a chip off the ol block and will be a leader in the industry someday. Thanks for producing quality Content Justin! Jimmy was a huge part of the Lake Tenkiller culture back in the 80s where I spent every weekend or vacation scuba diving, camping, water skiing and fishing. He’s an Oklahoma treasure and icon. But it was watching your videos that I found Jimmy’s channel and his devotional channel a year ago. Really cool you got to spend time with him!

I think they were the first Polaroid glasses commercially available to the public, or at least the only ones that were flying off the shelves, at that time I think Kmart was the biggest chain of stores. It had to be 45 years ago. Wow time flies by. In a blink of an eye. I too bought my first spinner bait because of Jimmy. I was a Johnson's Silver Minnow in gold, with a Mister twister trailer. I used to love watching his show when I was a kid. Also I got a real kick out of his distinctive laugh as I used to fish large mouth when I was very young. As I got a little older I switched to rainbow fishing in the eastern Sierra's.

As a kid my friends were into video games and cartoons I watched bass fishing on Saturday and had my mom drop me off at a lake right after. I tried to use everything I learned each Saturday.
