How to build a rolling scrap wood storage cart

- Ever turn around and look at your scrap wood "pile" and get concerned? That's how we were feeling and decided it was finally time to build a rolling scrap wood storage cart that would house all of our boards, cutoffs and plywood sheets. This mobile cart is huge, but thanks to it being vertical and mobile, it will likely take up less space in your shop that whatever you're working with now. This project was made possible thanks to our friends at Kreg Tool, who make excellent woodworking tools like the pocket hole jigs and cutting solutions you'll see used in this video. Great energy in this video. Good looking cart, and easy to follow along.
Thank you!
Awesome video. Planning on building today
Let me know how it turns out!
@@CharlestonCrafted will take pictures tomorrow. It was pretty easy build and made my wood clutter a piece of cake to work with. 😋
I'm curious to know how your 2x4's are holding up? I was very surprise that the weight didn't rip the 2x4's apart. I did the same set up you did and the boards collapsed from too much weight. I had to cut 3/4 plywood and make triangles to support the 2x4's on the side.
I haven’t had any problems at all! It’s still exactly how I made it. I think doubling wood glue with pocket holes helped, plus the slight upward angle.
@@CharlestonCrafted Got it! Makes since You can't go wrong with glue. Thanks
