I always enjoy your podcast, but this one was truly an answer to prayer. I have several immediate family members who have more or less left the church, and I've been praying so much this week for them, and trying to find peace and help. When I heard Tyler talk about the widow's son being raised from the dead, and the restoring of relationships, it filled my heart with hope. Thank you for that inspiration and perspective. I will continue to have faith and wait on God. Bless you both, for continuing to do these lessons. ❤️

I am touched by the stormy sea, but I feel the reason our Savior was asleep....was because he wanted to see how long it would take the apostles to come to him, and ask for help. I do the same thing, when I feel desperate in situations, I just need to come to Him and plead for help. Miracles always happen!

Thank you Bro Halverson & Bro Griffin. I love attending these classes, and I don't like to miss any of them.
I never thought much about the close relationship the disciples had with the Sea of Galilee before. But Bro Griffin raised a really good point. What was before a place of familiarity and comfort became unfamiliar territory when they journeyed with the Saviour. It must have been quite a shift for them. My take is that it also mirrored the unfamiliar path they walked when they chose to follow the Saviour.
There's the unfamiliar journey geographically and then the unfamiliar path in life when they chose the Lord.
This is a message I needed to hear right now. It's not always familiar or comfortable to do what the Lord asks or to take a leap of faith. At times I feel I am ok and feel I have enough faith until something pops up that puts that faith to the test all over again.
I love what was said about recalling the times when the Saviour has blessed us without being aware. I like the suggestion Bro Halverson made about writing these things down for recollecting and being grateful, as well as sharing these truths with others.
I love everything that was said in this presentation. Every word soothes the soul and every insight is precious. Thank you always ❤️.

Two help gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Three attend the temple regularly and renew and hold on to the covenants that you have made. Stay on the covenant path. Follow the prophet, always.

Im definitely noticing the parenting application this week ❤
The more I’m learning about parenting and child development and spending time with God to find out what my children need.. the more I’m realizing one of those things that’s crucial is letting my children feel what they need to feel and express that verbally and emotionally, and how that can very much feel like they and I are in a boat in a storm in those moments , and it’s so tempting to panic and think that storm feels like we’re going to sink.but it reminds me of the saviors response .. there’s a reason he didn’t panic, he knew it would be ok, he knew they wouldn’t sink. And trying to pray and calm myself like Jesus would do and sit with my child and just be a calm presence is often Just what they need. Other times it’s solvable and finding a way to solve the problem
Is what calms the storm ❤

In one class I took the thought was brought up that the son who wanted to bury his father wasn't actually referring to a dead father but to an old and dying father. "Let me go take care of him and not upset him and THEN I'll come and follow you." Jesus's response was that those who followed the old customs needed to not continue those customs until it is a more culturally acceptable time; we need to leave our old traditions and follow Him whole heartedly NOW.

It's an interesting dynamic I've noted. Jesus had instructed his disciples to preach principally to Judah, but he was always reaching out to or pointing to gentiles in his actions and teachings as a way of foreshadowing where his work was heading. First to the Jews then to the Gentiles, and in these last days, to the Gentiles and then to the Jews. That the last shall be first and the first shall be last.
And remember, in the Assyrian capturing of Israel in the 8th century BC, Israel was carried away and disappeared from history. The Book of Mormon tells us their blood was sifted among the nations and now is the time of gathering from all nations.

When Jesus replies :"Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.", is he not telling the teacher He needs a place to rest His head? Or maybe he's saying He doesn't have a home?
