Cheers from Brazil! My top 5: 1. First Law (all nine books) 2. Malazan Book of the Fallen 3. Mistborn (first trilogy) 4. LotR 5. The Dark Tower My next reads will be: Locke Lamora, Jade City and Ship of Magic.
The only one I've read so far is the Fifth Season, but literally all of these were already on my TBR. I'm picking up the Green Bone Saga in March and I cannot wait!!
Gentleman B@st@rd doesn't get enough love on BookTube. Easily my favourite duo in Fantasy. Moving Greenbone, Broken Earth and Locked Tomb even further up the priority list now
Being much older , one of the things I struggle with is resonating with younger booktube reviewers. Having read so much over decades, it gets a bit hard to be surprised or get the feeling of been there done that type of tropes and such. However, you impressed me with this list, some of which I have NOT yet read. I thank you and stay passionate about what you enjoy. I am looking forward to more of your vids in the near future. Well done!
What a list!!! 🤩 I had the exact same experience with Greenbone as you and I am actually so eager to reread it now that I have fallen head over heels in love. Same for RotE btw. I liked all the books, but the Fitz and the Fool trilogy just took it to a whole new level and now I can't help but want to experience the joy and heartbreak all over again, lol. And I am SO here for the Locked Tomb love, I am not sure what series will ever top that one, it's just one of a kind and I adore it ❤🔥
Okay, here are my thoughts: 10. LOVED Shadow of the Gods and really enjoyed Hunger. I would drop everything to read book 3 right now. 9. I was really mixed on Ninth House. Don't know if it was just the crazy amount of hype or what. I may have to reread it at some point of Hell Bent was good. 8. Oof this is my unpopular opinion. I did not vibe with Fifth Season, which was SUCH A BUMMER. 7. I freaking love Justice of Kings, and Tyranny is sitting on my shelf calling me. 6. Stormlight is obviously amazing. I feel the need to reread books 1-3 before I finally pick up Rhythm of War but that is such a commitment. 5. Lies of Locke Lamora made my top ten in 2021, but I have yet to continue this series! I was kind of waiting for book 4 to get an official release date, but since he is writing short fiction for the series I may have to dive back in. 4. THE CLAN IS MY BLOOD AND THE PILLAR IS ITS MASTER 3. I actively resist rereading Liveship on a daily basis. 2. Tawny Man trilogy is a masterpiece. I still haven't read Assassin's Fate because I don't want my babies to be hurt any more. 1. You know how I feel lol. Great list!!
I haven’t finished LOTR yet! I know, disgraceful 😂 As for ASOIAF, I’m currently rereading it and enjoying it, but the first time through I didn’t love it, and this time, I respect it more, but still don’t think it’ll be a favorite. 🥲
Cheers from Brazil!
My top 5:

I think you have to reread SotG now that it's in your top ten and you gave it three stars 🤣😜😭 great list...so excited and scared for Tawny Man haha
Yeah probably 😂😂 I honestly think I just read that book at the wrong time. I’m sure I’d rate it higher now.
You’re gonna love tawny man I think.
Ninth House is one of my favorite books the last few years. I am not rushing to Hell Bent just yet because I want to read it at the perfect moment.
I totally understand that. I do that with highly anticipated books as well. Gotta read it when it’ll have the most impact!
What a list!!! 🤩

@@jordanreads You are not ready!!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts. And I am here for emotional support if you need it lol
Very varied list there, classic with some of the more modern names, cool!
Thank you for watching! I try to read a variety of books, even if I am pretty exclusive to certain genres. :)
@@jordanreads that's ok, I also mostly consume SFF stories with a bit of historical fiction and non fiction on the side
I haven't read past Liveship Traders yet, but it's definitely one of my favorite series!!

LOTR?! A song of ice and fire?!
"Am.... Am I the boomer?"
Lol thanks for sharing your list! 👍
I haven’t finished LOTR yet! I know, disgraceful 😂

Looking forward to seeing Malazan on your list in a year. 😜
I fully expect it to be there!
When you talked about a series being lower than you though I was like, “oh no, is it TLT??” But no, I was correct and it was your #1 😂
Yeah, I'm pretty predictable lolololol
