The strawberry actually would have been a nice touch. Usually I cut the leaves off before fanning it out for it to look a bit more polished! A beautiful and thoughtful cake that you designed either way!

It almost takes more time to remove all that icing than to make it from a box mix and jar of icing. If you add some different ingredients, it tastes better than what you bought. And great buttercream like swiss meringue is super easy and can be done by the time your cake is done.
