Vanilla Coke was Coca Cola's response to Pepsi Lemon, having the latter's popularity. For that commercial, it must be a witty one, with the person finding curiosity. To add the thrill, award-winning actor Johnny Delgado (RIP) was chosen to play the role of the "master." He added a comedic twist with his pronunciation of vanilla as " banilya," in which his aide corrected him with the pronunciation as "va-ni-la."
what a coincidence.. i still remember this commercial watching on tv because vanilla coke has a soft spot in my heart i used to purchase it regularly then one time i went to pure gold with my first girl friend and we purchased vanilla coke then we went home did something naughty in the living room suddenly my older cousin arrived and almost caught us red handed. i only looked for this commercial suddenly because i was watching boss toyo of pinoy pawn star on bottles of soft drink and they featured the vanilla coke and they argue what year it was released.
Banilya Coke! 🤣
RIP Johnny Delgado.
