Awesome carp water. Makes me want to break out the fly rod if the wind ever stops blowing here in Kansas. Great footage. Love the overhead views.

Fantastic Video! I love watching the fly land and the carp notice and approach the fly. Amazing casting, amazing arial footage, and the dry fly lays so perfectly on the water... WOW! Thank you!

Yet another epic video with unrivaled visuals. Are you mimicking cottonwood seeds falling on the water? The distance that these carp are locking in on the fly is eye opening in the regards to the traditional opinion that they can't see very well. I have observed carp spooking to my presence from quite a long distance and they are simply not given the recognition they deserve for being such a formidable species to sight cast and catch in clear water.

These aren’t cottonwood, but a similar seed pod that I have only seen at this particular location. I don’t actually know what kind of bush it is that drops these, but they are all along the banks of this area. Carp have poor vision immediately in front of their face. Outside of that area, they actually have excellent vision and have more cones to perceive color and contrast than almost all other freshwater fish. Thanks for watching. They really are so under-appreciated.

Good morning I follow you from Syria in the Arab world. We are on the Euphrates River. We have carp, but we catch them by baiting sweet corn, but they take a long time to eat. We do not use fly fishing. I would like you to advise me to try this type of fishing. What type of fly do carp prefer and what color is it? Knowing that the Euphrates River is flowing water and the width of the river is 100 meters and its depth is between 5 and 10 metres. I am waiting for your response to your friend Abu Omran...

Black is by far and away the most consistent producer for carp in most water. Leaches, Damsels, worms, etc. The important thing is to look at what forage is available in your water. Good luck.

This is so amazing. I have never seen carp turning and chasing a dry like this. What kind of material are you using for the fly? We get lots of cottonwood here in ohio and it looks like that fly might work! Again thanks for such a great video!

This is basically just a poly wing caddis. It does a pretty good job of imitating this seed, floats well, and lands softly. All the things I like for carp dries.
