I was literally listening to this blindly because of the re-release and thinking this sounded like classic Sampling Masters. I'm glad I saw your comment.😊
I always found it funny, how the music calms down, as the game enters 20G mode (which equals painful death for many newer players, including myself). On the other hand, it gets pumping at the next stage (lv500-700 I think). Weird soundtrack, but I really like it, having set up Texmaster to play Ti music :P
the first 500 levels can be run killers for many going for the elusive GM title, as mistakes are more punishing to time because of the lengthy delayed entry. so in the first 500 levels, you really have to pump these tetrises out or you don't stand a chance to the GM title.
why when Im playing master mode and advancing through the levels, the music doesnt change, it stays looping on level 1 also seen this with people playing online, how can I get my Taito X version to change songs when I level up? I did customize my bgm to play Yellow Magic Orchestra songs instead, but I that's the problem, everything else works fine but bgm level changes
+Prince Mauhdi III Late reply, though just so you know the music is "Level 1" at level 0-499 speed, "Level 2" at level 500-799 speed, and "Level 3" from level 800 speed onwards.
+Prince Mauhdi III I'd highly recommend you either use a good arcade stick (One with Sanwa/Seimitsu switches) or a mechanical keyboard with either Cherry MX reds, browns or Romer-G switches. Both options tend to be expensive, yet they're well worth the money.
Music for HARDCORE techno MLG players that are really good at any sort of difficult video games, I guess they know everything about engineering by playing this game
lecorbak Right, but meanwhile i learned that this arcade is actually a PC inside an arcade box. Smart Japanese, committing to the Master Race of gaming...
What if levels had a names? Level 1: Its just a begining Level 2: Going deeper Level 3: Magma's inferno Level 4: Hell's gate Level 5: Souls punishment Level 6: Satan's final fury
8:36 that's just fucking textbook, classic puzzle game menu music right there
Knowing that both Sampling Masters MEGA and AYA worked on the OST doesn't surprise me.
SAMPLING MASTERS HYPE!
Who?
LOL, seriously? that's cool
they did the soundtracks for all of the TGM games, except for the credits song in TGM1 irrc

This is an amazing OST
yep
And the award for most thought-out and effective use of soundtrack goes to TGM3's Shirase mode.
Too bad I can't hear more than a minute of it
You know what would be cool af? If Tetris 99 got a The Grand Master 3 theme
especially considering that Akira is in charge of 99 as well as tgm3
YESSSSSSSSS PLEASE ARIKA
@@keengj arika*
And also t99 is by nintendo
@@mizu_yt quoting from wikipedia, "tetris 99 is ... developed by Arika and published by nintendo"
that arika tho lmao
@@keengj fuck
Still listening to this all this time later. Thanks for posting this!

That guitar sounds super sick
レベル3から4の疾走感がたまらねぇ

5:38 Cillit Bang, Cillit Bang, Cillit Bang!

@CasuallyPwning Don't get the joke
The opening of 4:38 uses the same sample that Grace and Glory from Jet Set Radio uses mid-way though the song. Neat!
lvl 2 sound like pacer test
ending music 2, so fucking badass, it hurts.
6:44 reminds me a little of Soichi Terada.
3:54 to 4:06 is very Japanese space techno cowboy.
I would love if you could upload the sound effects (I'm trying to make NullpoMino sound like TGM lol)

lecorbak wow thanks! :D
Riokaru You clever little genius.
lecorbak I hate to ask, but could you upload the game's background textures, too?
Riokaru no, I will not.
if you want to make your own clone, do it yourself.
anyone else hear chun li's sfa3 theme in here?
MEGATEN/AYA!
A really weird song plays at around 300 on my TGM3 DS homebrew clone, does anyone know what it is
Can you give ma a link?

I know this is a long shot but if you could post the soundtrack for TGM 2 that'd be a small miracle
Red Mercer I don't have it.
+Red Mercer someone posted the TGM 2 music already.
For your information, 7:39 ending is the Invisible Credit Roll theme. 6:44 is the Fading Credit Roll theme.
both use ending two actually
@@shaunodd8303 easy mode uses ending 1.
Ending 2!

***** oh damn, thanks for the clarification. honestly I can't get past level 400 with this 360 controller, I need a proper arcade pad stick. thx

Love this shit
Level 1 sounds like Skygazer from the unreleased Jazz Jackrabbit 3.
Level 3 is GOAT
AW YEAH, 2:32 !
Why they went dummy on this ost

This has to be some weird targeted anger or projection
why are you so upset lmao
Akari brought me here o_o
Cool, i never knew they made a horror tetris. Is the Umbrella corp involved, and are there zombies, maybe undead blocks.
Do you have this soundtrack as a downloadable archive?
I think you can directly have the files in the game folder.
lecorbak How are you able to get the game in this kind of state with all it's resources readily available?
SuperJustinChannel more important: where to buy the soundtrack or holy, the game if it has to be (though i suck at tetris)
weapon256zero
I don't think there is any official soundtrack of the game, because it's an arcade game.
lecorbak
