How many different blues artists have done this? Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan Magic Slim & the Teardrops & the list goes on. This, by Tab Benoit is as good a rendition as any. Originally written & performed by Carl Perkins.
I came across this video by accident, literally. I'm glad I had that accident! Now I gotta learn this song right here! Only thing that sucks is once I learn it, I'm not going to like it as much. So, I am going to take my time learning it! One thing that doesn't suck is once i learn it I can play it Live and I'll like that!! Musicians know exactly what i'm sayin.
And regarding the bassman, as you can easily observe, he plays great. So, what can we learn out of this: How someone looks like doesn't matter at all, it doesn't say anything at all about this person. ;-)
I was watching him one time around 04' here in Reno, when he finished one of his numbers I think he might have had 3 strings left and if he'd gone a minute longer, probably would have finished the song with two maybe!
@@toadjam12000 it's been so many years I don't even remember, but apparently the drummer looked just like the younger brother on the old bike build show or I wouldn't have said it, that's all✌️
We may not be able to listen to SRV live anymore but God did grace us with Tab. He makes my soul smile.

Watched Tab last Friday. Man oh man that guy can play.
I sure wish he would come back up to Minnesota. The last few times he did, at the Cabooze, I drove 300 miles to see him.
