Really helpful thank you so much for making these videos I'm just new myself playing a couple of months just exploring new tuning. Extremely kind of you to share your knowledge it is greatly appreciated thank you.
I just assumed that my standard chords were out the window in Sawmill, but this has shown me that they can still be used. Thank you for this! (I'm still just learning and only been playing for about 6 months)
Hi Mark, with antique banjos and nylon strings I can never get up to regular tuning. The tuning is relative with the same intervals between strings, but it just won't get up to gDGCD. Probably closer to fCFBbC. If it would help I can put a tuner on it and give you the tuning in Hz?
Very informative video Andy, thanks. I'm not sure how far your knowledge of music theory goes, but could you make a video showing the chord scales of some of the tunings ? I find It hard to find this info and i think it's essential to know all the chord scales within the key you're tuned to It may be a bit much to ask but i know I'm not alone in needing this info G Major G modal C (which i've got down) And maybe ruebens or something more unorthadox

Hi, no problem. Glad this helps you, and thanks so much for letting me know it does! Good luck with the banjo!
That was great information. I would have never thought of that way of playing in C major. Thank you.
Sounds cool, less hassle than retuning. (Just) thanks for the comment!
Good info, Andy!

Thank you!
Thanks Gavin, I'm glad it helped!
Good tutorial thanks for the tips. Was unable to play along with my sawmill tuning. Out of tune.

Hi Ryan, sure, I could do this. There are a few videos to go at there! I'm no music theory expert, but can probably get something done.
