And, I mean, it IS Dragonfire, which would decimate any living being in seconds even if they're wearing metal armor, in which case the metal would get so hot that the wearer would melt inside of it and whatnot.
Bloodiasfire i agree but i feel boss needs to be easier by default. maybe on a higher difficulty setting or possibly adding a special and optional item that prevents the one shotting so it wont be to much of a challenge

There are many different kinds of legendary lizards that are said to be distant cousins to the dragons. Terraria's Wyvern is a referance to the never ending story, but isn't a Wyvern at all. It looks more like a eastern dragon or Wyrm, although eastern dragons are pacifists. Skyrim's so called dragons are wyverns too. Wyverns have only wings and legs. Dragons can have 2 legs and 2 arms or 4 legs as long as it has 4 limbs. If it dosen't have limbs at all it's a Wyrm.
I decided to be cheesy and just build a giant pit in the ground with a one block wide hole to fire a gun out of, deep enough so I didn't get hit by splash damage. Funny part was; I didn't have any magma stone to encase the pit's walls for defense, so I just winged it with the common dirt. The dragon is NEARLY able to destroy the dirt in one shot, but not quite, and it all regenerates before the dragon can get another shot off. Wolverine dirt is OP. They do need to make the bosses similar to Terraria where they can pass through blocks, though. The 'pit' strategy worked on all three of the bosses I've fought so far. Dunno about the jelly boss though.
I hope they don't nerf him, the other bosses were easily cheesed, and the first one is way too easy, this one is a really meant for people that focus on dodging instead of epic armor, and I'm happy about that.
Problem with that: Some, or rather, MOST people would rather have an entertaining boss that can be won without having to spend days of hunting to find good gear for, such as guns 'n such. Problem in SB is the fact that every single boss could insta kill you. even the first damn boss. those fortunate to have a Pirate Ship on their home planet were fine. people who only have crappy bows, swords, and Daggers are screwed over by this. I think we'd be better off either giving the guns more damage, and eliminate the Penetration system entirely, or limiting the amount of HP damage a boss can dish out, and not be a Terraria Dungeon Guardian to everyone's play-through.
Ominethious Calistian You just said EXACTLY what I said, the 3rd boss always oneshots you, unless you have armor thats impossible to get before you beat that boss. So its more skill-consuming than time-consuming.

***** yrimir if you go to another planet than the original planet you first start on. dose ore like: sliver and gold becomes more frequent or less rare? because finding enough sliver for armor is hard as and i just spent 3 hours underground and only got 10 sliver and 5 gold ore (500 iron ore 600 copper ore) thank you :)

After the next update there will probably be a reset, wich means that everyone has to make a new character, and since alot of people seem to have trouble knowing how to get decent gear maybe you could make some kind of speedrun to sector 3 or something? I would really like watching that, like your older terraria speedruns. Sorry for my bad english! :D

Where do you get such good guns so early in the game? I've visited avian airships in the gamma sector and at best, my gun only does 8 damage to level 3 enemies. I don't even bother buying from arms dealers because the stuff I can craft on my metal working station is always better.
Still super easy to cheese this boss. It cannot fire breath fast enough to even break dirt so you can build a bunker (it needs to be at least 3 air blocks from where your character will be standing to fire) and leave 1 air block to fire up out of the bunker. I used the steel bow with this method to easily destroy the boss.
Cooper I've gotten platinum from chests in Alpha, I have a platinum pickaxe and I only have access to Beta sector. I've also found diamonds but those might have been in Beta.
Yri, how about the 4th boss? King Jelly. And also: They porrably change dragon breath dmg, but idk i dont get hit by any fireball. A trick: place about 9-12 defensive turrets (1 pixel in 3D printer for each! a bug) and make a safe room, turrets will kill him, you just take loot :>

Jerwen Fern I quit terraria for a good reason. I just finished the pumpkin moon using flairon, when my comp had an unexpected shutdown, it cleared all the stuff from the world, there is nothing there and it cant be accessed.
Terraria is much better. Believe me :), ive played starboudn for a month and its boring... Now i play terraria for almost over a year and i still play it!. The items and bosses are much more fun to do in terraria to!. I do not recommend starbound ,)

Ryowyn terraria wyverns dont have wings at all..... and they still can fly. same with the chinise dragons

Ominethious Calistian well... The first boss was an easy kill with iron hunting bow and leather armor. And those are really easy to get

In the full release the bone dragon has been merged and re-drawn to have Asra Nox on it.

If you stand completely still when fighting this boss, he will miss 100% of his fire blasts, makes it extremely easy.

Loved doing this Fight as a Florian. Duel machine pistols and increased energy gain gives you a ton of sustained fire and energy for tech.

Are you sure? In Starbound you can put in files you make or edit so you can play specific music with the instruments.
