Well, this boss looks very promising. But a boss that can't clip through/destroy tiles in an alterable terrain *NEVER* pans out well *cough* King Slime and Golem *cough* and can easily be exploited with minimal effort. I can only hope Chucklefish combats this with some sort of temporary noclip if there's an obstruction between the boss and the player for a certain amount of time.
It's kinda hard to make a boss that can clip and still be balanced. Every boss being able to *teleport* is just as unrealistic as every boss having the ability to noclip. And them being able to *destroy blocks* might make it a cheap mining tactic (not to mention server griefing (summoning items will probably be blocked in major/modded servers anyway)). And something like a *_Bullet Pattern Cheat Defensive Behavior_* is just.... meh But all that noclipping from those Terraria bosses gets lame after a while too. It's really hard to come up with a functional and original idea on this.
The "not following" issue is the same with the UFO I know...I just killed it by walking away so that it was almost off the screen and shooting the hunting bow.
I didn't know this guy was a boss, so when I turned him on and he killed me, I decided to just cheese him. I don't even know how to not cheese him, being stuck with Gold armor.
This boss is insanely easy to cheese. If you're in your house or something, he can't fit his head through the door, so he just keeps walking forward, and you can kill him easily.
I just spawned him in a small dirt container and cheesed him. Didn't want to do the same thing Idid with the UFO (running around for 15 minutes, shooting him with a gun)
At night, the temperature drop, and so does your heat level. To keep heat, the easiest way is to stay besides a torch or a campfire. I'd recommand being in a shelter as well, in the rain, the heat emaning from a single torch is not nearly enough to keep up. Alternatively, there are new armors made of leather at a spinning yarn whose heat conservation level is pretty high - I could hunt by night on a snow planet without problem. :)
I believe the reason we wouldn't chase is because he has passive AI, when he was fought earlier he had normal enemy AI but he insta-killed you as you summoned him without the best T2 gear, looks like he will need a brand new AI... (this is only from observation so don't count me on it)
Hmm... We all know that your arena can mean everything in Terraria... What sort of arena would we need for this boss? We know he has a melee strike and a flame burst, I wonder how we could set up an arena without cheesing the fight.

I believe there are different tiered shields, although they don't have any solid stats that are shown to you. I think they also take from your own defense level. They definitely don't block everything.

So far I have ancountered a prison with all prisoners broken loose, and I wonder if there are some towns, villages, and friendly NPCs. Also, is there any trading& I suppose there is, because those columns worth a lot of pixels. but yeah. Also, are crsytals worth gathering ? Sorry for so many questions, it would be awesome if you could answer even one of them :P
Not Yri. However... There are friendly villages. On a lot of my planets only the bird people do any trading but there isn't a way to sell items, that I can see of... Yet at least. But there is a lot of loot in the villages. So... STEAL ALL OF THEIR SHIT! Oh, and if you kill them, it pays well and you get a lot of stim, but they won't respawn.
Unlike everyone else, im lazy and just search the surface for stuff and when i go underground i always run out of torches and the materials to make them

You're right, they should make an option to decrease rain graphics or something, because every time it rains my frames go to 30, and without raining its 60.
brunofzb i siad i get like 0 FPS, but that doesn't mean i have 0 FPS. and i have played in minecraft with 0 FPS and the game has not been frozen so it is possible
You need to have taken down the 1st boss, so you can make the Metalworks Table (if that's what it's called) and there you combine coal and iron bars to make steel bars. Hope this was useful :)
Detonexploder i know your comment is old and maybe they changed it by now, but i just got a superior brain from the first enemy i killed on my home planet... so hearing you had to kill 50 is kind of blowing my mind. i didn't even know that finding a brain was a challenge.

it didn't make it to final game, but another mech did make it to final game, it's shockhopper mk1, but it was not in beta.

where i can find some gold? i cannot find it on 11-12 lvl planets, 13+ lvl planets are deadly for me
im on full silver armor set and platinum pickaxe
if you dig deep enough, you can find gold on level 1 planets. Just try to dig deeper.
PS. Anyone also has the bug that blocks teleportation on a ship? I mean, when clicking "e" you're being tp'ed to the ship and not to the planet.

Shields are probably far from done yet. They even miss a description (and the countercrit mechanic I read about on the site).

Not that I know of yet, there are bosses that can blow stuff up, so just don't fight them in your home.

In the game when its raining the fps falls a lot!!!!

You just need to have luck. Found 2 Superior brains after zapping around 50 very simple enemies. I guess I was still kinda lucky.
