There's nothing planned but it's very likely these will get replaced in a few years. The electronics luckily hold op pretty well considering the entire neighborhood has lanterns like this
Dirt accumulates in the remaining parts of the bowl, which worsens the lighting and visual properties of the fixture, getting rid of it seems to be a better option.
Sim, principalmente no Reino Unido, Alemanha, Bélgica e holanda
That one's seen better days, at least what's left of the cover sheilds the electrics a little bit... LED conversion soon?

All 3 tubes burnt out. That probably didn't happen overnight and the thing was running on the last remaining tube for quite some time already.
Why’d you leave the broken bowl?
We don’t have any new ones! These fixtures are from the 60s/70s!
@@tobitechboy1461 Why’d they leave it though?
@@JamMC because if they still work, they won’t replace them unless they completely LEDfy the neighborhood
It's eventually all going to be replaced to LED in a few years. Why bother putting up a new Lantern if this one is fixed with 3 new bulbs.

You didn't need to open it to change those bulbs. 😅Understand the issue, still hurts to see that it was left broken 😅
electronic ballast?
Nope, there's an old magnetic ballast inside. 2 of them actually
@thelamppostchannel that's cool. Why doesn't the bulb flick when they turn on
High tech wel man
Hahaha
